Nationalparkzentrum Falkenstein

A wonderful afternoon spent with the family at this woodland treasure.

Easily accessible by car, bus or train.
To get there, take the Waldbahn or Igelbus, or set your SatNav for the car park of the Nationalparkzentrum Falkenstein to reach the right spot first time! Car parking charges apply.

A well maintained and signposted circular 2.5km path leads you through woods and fields. Wheelchair and pushchair accessible with some steep parts. There were picnic benches available along the path.

In large habitat enclosures lynxes, wolves, aurochs and Przewalski's horses live. Viewing platforms are roomy but despite patience and quiet, only the aurochs were visible today.

We were advised to walk the longer (2km) Part to the Haus der Wildnis first, which worked well for us. We dined at the Organically Certified restaurant on site. Excellent value and choice of freshly prepared food.

The centre itself has a fantastic children’s play area (up to 12 years) which kept our children engaged for over an hour. There are also great interactive, educational exhibits for all ages. It is spacious, spotlessly clean and maintained to a high standard. Staff were beyond friendly.

We spent 5hours here and could easily have spent longer.

The park is a wonderful experience.
It was very surprising that there were barely any people. In the 5 hours we spent there, we maybe met 20 other people outside.
The park is really beautiful, the House of wilderness is modern and has a restaurant, restrooms, even a 3D cinema and many more things in it. Outside you'll be able to see wolves, lynxes and more animals.
We went there in winter, and the snow really made this place even more mystic.

Krásné místo na výlet s dětmi. Celý areál je jen pár minut jízdy od hraničního přechodu Alžbětín. Na začátku trasy hned za parkovištěm je infocentrum a záchody. Parkovné jsou čtyři eura na auto a dále se za nic neplatí, což nás velice překvapilo protože centrum národního parku - dům divočiny je velice moderní a nabízí vyžití pro celou rodinu. Celý prostor je velice naučný a moc hezky zpracovaný pro děti, navíc je celý areál bezbariérový. V domě divočiny si nezapomeňte poprosit milou paní o dřevěnou kuličku do kuličkové dráhy kterou potkáte po cestě nahoru. Během okruhu navštívíte několik výběhů se zvířaty a jeskyni z doby ledové ve které se během promítání filmu příjemně ochladíte. Byli jsme se vším nadmíru spokojeni a určitě vřele doporučuji.

Areal je zdarma, poplatek je jen za parkovani (primo u parku je i vlakova stanice nebo je zde cyklostezka, oboji od Alzbetina/ŽR). Vse je take v cestine a vyjimkou neni ani cesky mluvici personal. Jsou zde venkovni i vnitrni detska hriste a vubec interaktivni prohlidka, doporucuju navstivit i pri nepriznivem pocasi, obcerstveni je take v miste. Vse v pohode s kocarkem, akorat kola jsou v arealu omezena.

Der Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Tiere sieht man selten. Die Gehege sind aber auch wirklich riesig und genau richtig für die Tiere. Allein das Haus der Wildnis rechtfertigt den Besuch. Sehr Informativ und eine super wechselnde Ausstellung. Nur zu empfehlen. Und das für Umme. Echt der Hammer

Sehr schöne Wanderwege, leicht zu gehen ohne große Anstrengungen. Das Waldhaus und die Höhle sind sehr gut aufgebaut und Interessant mit vielen Informationen. Einige Tiere waren zu sehen, Leider ist der Wolf gestorben.

Das Haus der Wildnis bietet viele Informationen über den Wald und vieles wird interaktiv dargestellt, so dass man viel Spaß an der Wissensvermittlung hat.
Der Weg ist etwas beschwerlich bis zum Haus; war leider vorher nicht so zu entnehmen.
Aber der Rundgang mit Tiergehege (3 Stück, der Wolf war leider verstorben, vom Luchs keine Spur; aber die Pferde und Rinder waren zu sehen), Haus der Wildnis und Steinzeithöhle ( war auch ganz interessant) war nicht zu lang. Wir waren 4 Stunden dort und den Großteil um Haus der Wildnis.

Úžasné místo k navštívení. Určitě doporučujeme. Platí se pouze parkovné 4 eura a jinak je vše zdarma. Toalety čisté a udržované.
Muzeum bylo velice pěkné a prostorné k prozkoumání.
Čeština zde nechybí, takže velice vhodné pro Čechy. Dcerka si mohla i poslechnout audio poslechy.
Bohužel vlk 🐺 zemřel a jeho místo je zatím prázdné.
