Vintage, small but very good cinema
Amazing screen and sound quality. Snacks were pretty cheap too.

This place is so special! The atmosphere of an art cinema, with smaller rooms and fun decorations. A super special thing they do is weekly Rocky Horror Picture Show shows, in a beautiful themed room, which is an experience you should definitely try if you live here! They have sweet AND salty popcorn, so everyone is happy. Super easy online booking system, and a lot of OV shows. The staff is also very kind and helpful. My favourite cinema in Munich!

Amazing old movie theatre, in the business since 1910, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show is on the play since 1977. Really.
The interior is really cool, the chairs are comfortable.
It is a very good idea to book your tickets in advance because it can be full very easily, the place is very popular. They are playing movies in the original language, which is really unique in Germany.

Very cute and atmospheric cinema next to the Deutsches Museum. The movie halls are quite small, but the overall feeling is very nice. They were showing movies in English which is also very nice (I don't like the German dub). I didn't take any food or drinks so I can't really say anything about that. Super nice place to spend a rainy weekend afternoon! :)
Also, definitely buy tickets in advance because the place is FULL :)

Small cinema with movies always in English. Very cosy. We used it on Christmas day as everything else was closed to entertain our little ones. Tip: buy tickets half an hour earlier at least as there is no seat booking and stand on the queue.

Super cosy and old fashioned cinema. Watched a confusing British film about an alcoholic man who walked across England seducing people to get away from his abusive wife. Standard UK stuff.

Great cinema, and fair prices as they don't apply the sit prices ( which end up to be expensive). Good program with a diversity of films. And the rooms are gorgeous (yep I love that cinema)

Really good popcorn! Some confusion with the seats since people came late and there were no 2 seats together. Napoleon was only ok.

I love the variety of films and times. Also, they make the best FRESH-not-ready-from-a-bag popcorn. They also have a most films in OV. Highly recommended!!!

Come here at least ONCE to watch the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Make sure to buy the bag with props for the movie! If you can come with friends, it will be 10x more fun.

This is one of my favorite movie theaters. As an non native German speaker and being used to watch the movies in the original voice is this the Place where I first check if they're rolling something I'd like. Easy going atmosphere in sometimes crowded lobby and the smell of fresh poped popcorns, this is where the movie starts if you ask me. You have to take in a count that you won't get huge projection screen, however the auditoria is adequately smaller and all together you dont miss a thing in comparison with big Multiplex cinemas.
I'm looking forward to visit Museum Lichtspiele next time and again enjoy every minute of my stay there.

Very nice for all occasions. The rooms are pretty small compared to other movie theaters, but this is one of the few theaters that shows all of its movies in English. It's also one of the few theaters that feels and looks like the people care about the place. It's always clean, not to noisy, the staff is always super friendly and helpful, and the prices aren't outrageous like in other theaters. If you want to watch movies in their original version and don't mind getting a little cozy with other customers at times, this is definitely the place to go.

Small and cozy, they have nachos which is always a plus for me. Very comfy chairs and atmosphere, it was really cool to watch the movie so up close. Great customer service as well

Very unique cinema with a great atmosphere and film selection.

One of the few ones in Munich that show most movies in original version (not dubbed).

Most special about it is the two times per week screening of Rocky Horror Picture Show in a special room decorated exactly like one of the sets in the movie - great experience.

Unique, and sometime sort of sad in its lighting conditions, especially in the cold season. Popcorn is welcome 🍿

The rocky horror show was on screen here every week since June 24, 1977.

The Cult movie theater. Small, crowded, movies in original language. Definitely the place you have to visit when you are in Munich.

Really nice and cozy cinema with a great experience! It is not I e of the most modern cinemas, but that’s what makes its charm.
