Viktualienmarkt

Definitely one of my favorite things we did while here in Munich! So much to see and smell. Very clean farmers market! Came on a Tuesday and was packed! You can still find seating everywhere and there are water fountains all around so no need to pay for water. Food and beer and flowers and souvenirs everywhere!

Fantastic market! We came very early and it was peaceful and quiet!!! Not all the stalls were open at that time, but lots of fresh produce stalls were open!! It’s clean and welcoming!

I love local shops like these because they are rare to find and usually their food tastes better than restaurants, and this place like this. I enjoyed having some veal sausage here, drinking fresh fruite juice, and just strolling through the market is good experience. You would save money eating here for sure.

Great food market offering a wide variety of delicious food items. There are also nice restaurants on site that prepare dishes using ingredients sold at the market. I highly recommend visiting this place.

Awesome street market in the heart of Munich. Burn the excess calories by climbing over ten flights of stairs at St Peter's Church. You will be glad you did it (or regret 😭).

We go here on the weekends and always find something fun to do or just walk around and explore.

Easily my favourite part of a visit to Munich is time spent in Viktualienmarkt. It’s beautiful, the food is great, the atmosphere is joyful. Grab a beer while you’re at it and enjoy the cheeses.

beautiful spot with lots of variety - fruit and veg, deli, meats, alcohol, flowers, plants, and knick knacks. we had a lovely stroll through here. the surrounding architecture is also great to look at. water foundation features throughout also! highly recommend going in the morning, we had almost no crowds at around 8-9 am.

Permanent, daily outdoor food market. "Viktualien" is an old fashioned term for "food". You can find a wide variety of meats, cheeses, olives, bread, spices, and much more. Near the large may pole is a lovely Biergarten.

Fresh food and produce market in the centre of Munich. Large number of stalls with all sorts of goods to try and buy.

This is a great market to check out. Some great treats and drinks. We loved wandering through all the stalls.

If you're visiting Munich and need a quick and tasty lunch, or maybe a cup of coffee, an ice cream, a glass of wine, or some groceries to take home, this is a great spot. The people watching is fun too. And yes, you can refill your water bottle from the many fountains there.

Favorite place when visiting Munich. It has great energy and place where you can feel the heartbeat of the city! 😍 You can buy local products, meat, mushrooms, cheese, wine, flowers and hand made home decorations (that follows the season). My favorite product here is straw bag that costs 25-30 euros (and it’s great quality)! There are a lot of food places as well (juice bar and seafood bar). A lot of seating options as well. Don’t miss!

This place is a must visit pitstop 🚏 on your next trip to Munich! 🇩🇪 Viktualienmarkt is a large farmers' 👨‍🌾 market 🛍 that has fresh vegetables 🍅, fruit 🍓, cheese 🧀, meat 🍖, drinks 🥤, and more! It's so fun walking 🚶 around the different stands to explore 🔍 what they have to offer! I wish I could stay here longer!
