Cinema Filmtheater

This cinema only has one hall. They play original version movies in their original language. The cinema hall is quite big with a terrace which I totally recommend. It is clean and well priced. The seats are very comfortable and great, especially in the terrace area. This is not my first time here, and I totally recommend it.

This is my go-to cinema because it's close to where I live and the movies are in their original English version (or they have English subtitles) Great sound and film quality. I just felt compelled to warn everyone about their HUGE popcorn and drinks. My companion and I ordered 2 drinks and a popcorn without knowing each drink was 1 liter, and God knows how much popcorn was in this gigantic bag! Overall good experience (and will definitely return!) but we weren't able to finish even half of the drinks or the popcorn.

I always love going to this cinema. Hands down the best movie theater for English speakers in Munich and the best sound and picture of all as well. Spend the extra few euros to get a balcony seat, it’s worth it. The staff members are very friendly and helpful (which is not the case at any of the other cinemas.) Cash and card payment possible for everything.

Great experience with Dolby Atmos.
Big screen with good seating capacity. Balcony experience is good. Non-reclining seats but comfortable enough. Middle row balcony seats have head rests. Small toilet so there will be a long queue usually. Snacks are good. The mini bar ambience is great. Just 3 mins walkable from the Stiglmeierplatz U-Bahn Station 🚉
Outdoor seating is available. I have observed that there is only one screen available for all the shows in this cinema for different timing. Overall a good experience.

My home away from home! I love coming to the cinema, even more so since they started the cinema club where they screen older movies. Highlights for me so far have been The Big Lebowski, Terminator 2 and The Fifth Element. I recently got to enjoy their screening of Vanya from the National Theatre in London which was also really great. Great screen, great picture and sound and salty popcorn! Recommended for movie lovers and native English speakers.

The screen was of a higher quality than most of theater I've been in before. Prices were reasonable, around 10e, for a 2D projection. People were quite welcoming as they pointed out our sit when the obscurity of the room made that not easy. I defenetly recomand this place for foreigners not speaking or understanding german

Best OV cinema in munich- we love this place. Been coming here for over 10years now. Nice morning price offer is great value. Get upstairs seats for super comfort! The dolby atmos is fantastic (Dune 2 was insane!!)

Amazing theatre for non German speakers as they release movies only in English. Amazing Dolby sound system as with modern and comfortable seats.

My favorite movie theatre in munich, the only show movies english and their popcorn is the absolute best, they even have a special winter edition. I highly recommend this cinema, often go their just to get some popcorn and watch a movie at home. It's worth it, trust me.

Amazing sound system! They also often have OV movies, which is great as an expat. They even have 'The boy and the heron' with english subs! There is also a very cozy bar/seating area if you want to hang out before the movie

The best upside of this theater for me is that you can almost definitely find the English movie you'd like to watch, well... in English. Great sound quality with dolby atmos and the laser projection technology really makes a difference. All of the personnel are helpful and cheerful. Would totally prefer in the future for the English movies.

Really great independent cinema with amazing history. Was very comfortable and the viewing was top notch.

Update: The new seats are much more comfortable than before. Also, glorious legroom!

Still the best place in Munich to see movies in original English; great sound, good picture quality, good selection of movies. No commercials at all, just trailers.
Not too happy with the new laser projection system; sometimes there's some slight color noise. Overall quality is still great though.

We visited the cinema a week ago and it was a nice experience. It’s also possible to purchase tickets online. The building is a pretty small but nice.

Watched 2 movies there, awesome experience both times. Small but beautiful cinema with great visual and audio quality, and good sweet and salty popcorn. Definitely recommended!

When I lived in Munich this was my favourite place to watch movies. Quite cozy and reasonably priced.

My favourite cinema in Munich. The are displaying movies with original voice over. Screens is really big, sounds is high quality and the armchairs comfortable. It is a but cheaper when you will go for the morning shows then in the afternoon or in the evening. You can pay with a cash or card.

Best cinema in Munich, way better than mathäser, especially if you want to watch a nice movie without any interruptions from teenagers.
I go to this cinema on a monthly basis, ticket pricing is same as in other places, food/drinks too.

If you want to watch movies in OV (English), this is the cinema to go to!
