Waldbühne

The Waldbūhne is one of the top two open-air arenas in Berlin ideal for open-air live events of all kinds. Surrounded by forest in the middle of the greater Berlin suburban area. If has a long legacy, having hosted many of the most well-known bands, musicians from all sides of the spectrum.
In my case, I went to see Schlagernacht, a traditional German flavoured event of not only traditional music but sounds from all gendres of the musical spectrum. We saw Vicky Leandros and many others.
The only real complaint is the ladies' toilets. Cues stretching over 50 metres. Really not well organised. After all these years, this should no longer be an issue. This time, we were not announced as press or reviewers, so we enjoyed the experience in the same way as anyone else would.
Generally, I am extremely happy with the entire event, its content, and the organisation. I am looking forward to the next time I visit the @Waldbühne in Germany with OutlookAfrica, venues, destinations, and events from South Africa, who hosted us on a visit to Germany.

For concerts it’s much better to be closer to the stage than we were 😅

Great venue! Staging was a little high but I'm unsure whether this was due to Dua Lipa's staging design or the venue's. But overall had a great time

Epic concert hall, can’t believe it fits 22k people, it feels so intimate and cozy. Super cool!

This is truly one of the greatest venues for live music - a wonderful setting, and the atmosphere is always great. Plentiful food and drinks available from a variety of stands. If there were any complaint, it would be that that food and drink is sold at really extortionate prices, which is a shame, as they'd be making lots of profit even if it weren't that expensive.

Beautiful Open-Air-Venue with a fantastic atmosphere! Love it!

The greatest theatre I know. I was attending Rammstein concert in the summer 2016 and this was lifetime experience. Shaped as amphitheater, located in a forest, seats 22000 people. Built between 1934 and 1936 for 1936 summer Olympic games. Every seat has good view at the scene. Must visit place in Berlin.

Great venue for live music. I saw Pearl Jam and it was fantastic! Bring sunblock if you go. It is very sunny and beautiful. It is easy to take the train there .

The Greatest Band in Rock-n-Roll history played their last show of their 60th European Tour in Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪 The Rolling Stones Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Woods played their hearts out and the 20,000 fans enjoyed every moment and song.After playing much much larger stadiums on the tour, Waldbuhne was the perfect venue to end an amazing tour. “ It’s Only Rock n Roll and I like like it YES I Do”

Hands down the best outdoor venue in Germany. Great organisation, acoustic...a pleasure all around. Highly recommend.

A great place to see your favorite band. It's located in the middle of a forest, but close to the subway so easy to get to. great sound and some really big bands like KISS and IRON NAIDEN have played here.
Good food and good beer. What else do you need?

I was yesterday at a Piano Concert, we didn’t had luck with the weather but at least most part of the concert didn’t rain. If you go while bad weather, take your blanket rain coat or umbrella, cushions to sit are very helpful, prices of beer and so on are not cheap but available. The whole experience there is amazing, very organised, toilets are clean (no fee) security is there and also emergency assistance. Highly recommended.

Loved this place, very atmospheric. I went to see Bjork‘s concert there. The sound system was amazing.

The only annoying thing was the people going up and down, left to right, eating and drinking.

Is a wonderful venue, but it is a mission to walk back up from the bottom, need a bit of physical. Is a nice park too. Bus is available to and from the city, even after event after 11pm bus still operate.

Great concert venue. Fleetwood Mac. Talking of Mac take a rain poncho if any hint of rain. It poured but no proble. Oh and plastic carrier bag to sit on. Beware of steep stone steps down. I lost footing once. Handrail helps! Take transit out, don’t be tempted by taxi. Took longer.

What a stage! Stage and the location itself is an Artwork itself. All seats can hear the concert very well.

Saturday of culture, West Eastern Divan Orchestra director Daniel Barenboim!!! Magnifique !!

One of the coolest concert venues you can go!

Best sound in concert so far. Enough kawumm, but never too loud. Service for drinks fast, too. Toilets are the limit - too few.
