Gasthof Seitz/ Thuisbrunner Elch-Bräu/Elch-Whisky

Very tasty authentic local dishes!
They were very nice to receive us although we had no reservations and the place was pretty crowded.

The food was very good, specially their cheese cream (obatzda) , the trout and the sour cabbage.
You have to try the beer brewed by them!
The menu is only in German, but they are good English speakers.

This is a great spot on the Fünf Seidla Steig. Previously, I'd only had a small snack but have always enjoyed their beer. Well, I went last week for the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the trail and finally got to eat a full meal. The Schäuferla was perfectly done, with crispy pork skin on top and the sauce was good, too. My friend had their carp and said it was great. Their Dunkles beer seemed better than ever. They have a live band going from room to room, which added to the atmosphere and considering how crowded it was, the service was pretty efficient.

Quaint brewery/guesthouse run by a friendly family. Delicious beer and food, too.

Cool place, both outside and inside seating is nice. Tasty food & good beer!

Totally worth it driving a few hours to get here, the beer, the food and the whiskey are outstanding!!! Ahhh try the käsekuche too ;)

Tasty hopy beer

Perfect setting, beautiful grounds. Beer is excellent and easy to take home with you. Service was nice and welcoming.

Very good Pilsener with a hint of fruit. They also make Single Malt Whisky with German turf. Nice beergarden.

Great food. Great beer. Hosted a family reunion for us in a large room upstairs.

One of the stops on the 5 Seidla Steig - Lovely beer garden and a great place to take a break!

Super Biergarten und Gastwirtschaft. Waren dieses Mal im kalten Frühjahr da, aber jeder Besuch lohnt sich. Qualitativ hochwertiges Essen zu guten Preisen und super Service. Nur zu empfehlen.

Super nette Leute und gutes Essen. Es ist immer viel los... die Familie hilft da mit. Gutes Bier und Schnaps... alles fränkisch und nachhaltig. Sehr zu empfehlen! Alle Wünsche beim Essen werden erfüllt. Die Gastwirtschaft liegt auch auf dem Bierwanderweg. Es ist wirklich einen Besuch wert. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.... 10 von 10!

Ganz tolle fränkische Gastwirtschaft mit super Essen und richtig urigem Ambiente, dazu aufmerksamer, unheimlich netter Service. Ganz hervorragendes Anlaufziel für viele Wanderungen in der nahen Umgebung!

Der Gasthof ist idyllisch, im Schatten der Burgruine, gelegen.

Neben einer eigenen Destille und Brauerei befindet sich auch ein netter Biergarten neben der Gaststätte.

Am Wochenende befinden sich viele Wanderer vor Ort und manchmal ist es schwierig, einen Platz zu ergattern. Am Besten reservieren!

Das Bier ist günstig und sehr lecker. Die Mahlzeiten sind gut bürgerlich und ebenfalls lecker.
