There is so much more than the cave in the area - if it's summer you can plan a whole day starting with thos amazing cave tour.

Even on a busy Sunday parking was not hard and it's €2 for two hours. There is a nice cafe on site and TONS of trails to walk on after the tour.

The tour itself was cheap and a lot of fun. They have lots of different language options as well. That have a family ticket that includes 2 adults and three kids for only €20. We brought light jackets and it was fine for the temperature.

100% would recommend.

Awesome place to visit! Not only is the the tour 100% worth the very small entry fee but after your done be prepared for some beautiful nature walks! Pictures do not do this place justice! There is a nice restaurant right there as well that smelled delicious (we had already eaten before coming here)

A must visit for everyone who remembers stalagmites and stalactites, which we read as a kid. Beautifully maintained. The surrounding is phenomenally beautiful. You can do many walking trips too.

Try the smoked fish in the restaurant next to the Cave. Super good.

Nice experience. The guide was also very friendly and gave us enough information about the cave.
Parking facility is good and parking is also relatively cheap.
Do not forget to take your warm clothes with you.

Loved it, and it's beautiful. Very unexpensive was worth it if you're the type of person to get cold very fast, then bundle up! Be prepared to walk through narrow spots, but not too bad

Definetly worth visiting, they even have student discount (5€ each ticket) and give you a guided tour (which is in germany but at the end they'll play a english version over the spearks for you to understand everything about the devil's cave!). Addionally the tour guide was very nice to everyone. Beware that the path has a lot of stairs and can be a bit claustrophobic. In some parts you'll need to crouch a bit to be able to go through. But, again, it's definetly worth it!

Nice area to discover - the cave is just great, 45 mins route done by an experienced guide (only speaks German) seeing everything (BTW - take a jacket with you, inside is quite cold). Outside, the area is gorgeous so you could hike around and there are a few options to lunch - prices are reasonable and quality is overall good. Last but not least, the people working there is kind and there is a parking area next to it, but also some other lots nearby.

I visited this cave as a young child and returned fot another visit this year. It's everything I remembered and was even more impressive as I have a better idea of time.

Watch your head, do some stair stepping and give this beautiful cave a visit.

Great experience for all ages. Your takes about 45 minutes and takes you throughout the cave to view all types of different rock formations and bones including a full sized bear. Very close to the town of Pottenstein as well.

This is one of the interesting Caves I have ever seen in Europe. It is considered the longest cave in Germany and here in the Franconian Switzerland this is the largest Cave. We joined the tour guided visit inside the cave one afternoon. It took us 45 minutes to see all these well known Stalactites and Stalagmites stone formations. Some were awesomely formed like animals and hanging tobacco leaves. Coloured lights made the environment a little bit fascinating. The area is well organized with well secured iron steps and good lighted that you will never be afraid to walk along this long ways. But please pay attention to bring sweaters or warm clothing inside because it is cold in here and wear good shoes because it can be slippery bec. the grounds are wet and humid. At the end of the Cave is a fantastic narrow Gorge that looks very awesome to see as if you are in the world of fairy-tales :-). Before you can go out to your car there is a hanging Restaurant where you can take snacks or eat something.

An interesting guided tour to take through a cave - it's 9 degrees throughout the year inside - definitely something to do if you have never been to one.
Perfect for a day trip for singles, couples and families.

Really nice place for summer vacation. Inside is 9°C and better take some sweater or something,to use in case if you need. I am not going to explain what I have seen there, as I don't want to spoil the surprise. Magnificent cave with really nice experience. Enjoy.

Stunning place. We came as english speakers, so they put you in the regular tour and after the guide is finished, he will then turn on a audio in english for you. The cave tour is 45 mins long and lots of stairs! Very fun for the family. They also have a trail to hike but I would wear some good hiking shoes, because the trail is muddy and steep. Afterwards you can stop at the cafe for a good lunch.
