The whole city is particularly picturesque with the creek Vichtbach. Great views from the castle. The surrounding hills are a great photo opportunity. Parking under the castle. Restaurant in the castle.
You can also find a Supermarket nearby.
Absolutely recommended place for the whole family.

The castle look really nice. I'm not sure if it's served as a museum or not since they have thanksgiving fest when i was there. But I still enjoy it.

Truly a hidden gem. This is a absolutely beautiful castles that is not getting great attention. There were hardly any people at the time I visited. Definitely recommend to visitors if you are nearby. Since the city of Stolberg was affected by floods, there isn't frequent buses and there are very less eating options in the city.

The Älterstadt, old town, is pretty nice. The castle doesn't seem to have much inside of it besides the restaurant. It's a chill, beautiful place anyway and I highly recommend it. You won't take more than 20min exploring, though.

Beautiful old center. It is quite small, you can quickly get around on foot. There is also a restaurant in the castle building. We ate well there.

Beautiful and historic. Inside the Castle, there is a restaurant and cafe. There is no fee when going into the castle.

Nice castle. Stopped by on the way back to Düsseldorf from Aachen. There is a restaurant that looked nice. We got there as it was closing so did not get to try it out.

Pretty nice castle like building. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, everything was closed. But just walking around is also nice.

Went to the Christmas market here. The castle was really cool to see. Unfortunately the Christmas market is not that special. Looks bigger on the internet but in reality you're done looking at it in 30 min.

The rating is given without visiting the museum or restaurant because of Corona. This Castle is a real surprise, because you don't expect it to be so big and imposing u til you are actually there. I was impressed by the construction and by how good preserved it is. Definitely a place to visit when you are in Aachen.

Beautiful castle, however quite a climb to get there with lots of stairs. Beautiful view with surrounding historical houses.

Such a pleasant surprise to visit since I didn't know we'd be allowed to go inside or that it would be so beautiful... and it was free!

The castle has different levels where you can walk around and take photos of the castle as well as high views of the city, and the castle looks great and has a nice design on the outside as well as interesting delights inside.

We were told we could enter any area where we could open a door, and there werebaitring areas such as a large entertaining room. There was an old Steinway piano in good, functioning condition, and a small museum room displaying art from local young artists.

In the highest room, there was a cross above what looked like a representation of a torture device, and there was a papier-mâché dragon head & dragon tail.

There were plenty of wide parking spaces (thankfully, not many people around Europe know about this castle yet, so it doesn't get crowded), the bathrooms were large and very clean, and there is also a restaurant (which we didn't get to try since we weren't hungry yet). It was wheelchair accessible and there is an elevator.

Do get a local guide to tell you about the history of the town and the castle. It's interesting but just seeing it does not do it justice
