Nice place to camp at. Accomodating and friendly hosts. Nice view on the Neckar. Good prices.

Public transport is right in front. Easy to travel to Heidelberg and surroundings on foot, by bike, bus or train. Rewe is about five minutes away, so shopping for grocieries is easy too.

Toilets and showers were clean but bring crogs with you or something nonetheless to avoid infections.

Great location by the river, beautiful old town, easy access to Heidelberg by bike, rail and ferry boat. Clean showers and toilets. Best bike shop in the world, Rudis Radladen nearby (super expert people and even more helpful). Couldn't have been a nicer place to stay!

Excellent campsite on the riverside. Good transport links to Heidleburg via boat and train. Lots of good local restaurants and Lidl over the bridge. Cash only for payments. No communal freezer to keep food/ice packs cold.

An idyllic camping spot on the river facing the beautiful forest mountain range. Perfect for easily visiting Heidelberg and nearby towns via train or bike. Campsite has bikes to hire, morning bread service, cute café and close to a great swimming spot! Also clean bathrooms!!

Everyone is really friendly here, the Bistro has beer and a good few dishes (also for kids).
The location is great, you can get a boat that goes just pass the Schloss so you can get a great view from the river. There are also supermarkets really close by. And a massive trampoline for kids

Lovely site right on the river Neckar just 10km from Heidelberg. Man at reception really helpful and speaks English. The shower/toilet block was clean and modern but up quite a few steps which could be a problem for some people. There is a bar and beer garden on site overlooking the river. You can order bread for the morning. Wifi is extra €2 per day for 1 device. ACSI card is accepted and paid more for a pitch right by the river for €26 per night and that includes 4km electric. The small town of Neckargemund just a few minutes walk from site has restaurants, supermarkets, banks and petrol station. You can get bus, train or boat into Heidelberg or cycle along the river but that is on a busy road some of the way. You can cycle through the forest which is similar distance but hilly in parts. Heidelberg is a beautiful town and worth a visit.

We spent a night and we’ve loved the sight on the river Neckar. The bathrooms are wide and comfortable, friendly and nice stuff.

Very nice camping by the river Nektar. If you arrive after 18.00 hours the gate is closed, but you can park in front of the camping and use the facilities for a fee off course.

We were welcomed by an english speaking host that was helpful and pleasant. The pitches were great and we got one right on the edge of the river. Good sanitary building with decent showers and free hot water.

Here Now. Great Campsite which is run by 2 Brothers and has been in the Family for over 30yrs. On arrival met with a humorous greeting and was shown all info and wifi password. Right on the River . Walked to Rewe in 10min across the river and a hafdware Store in 10 min as well. Showers Brillant and water Hot. Amenities clean. There is a restaurant but didnt eat at it but did have a couple Beers. The Young Blokes do a great Job 👍

Found this campsite because it has the best review in the surroundings. Two brothers helped us to check in and were very helpful. They even gave multiple tips for entertainment in the area. Sanitair was clean and plenty.

We ate at the restaurant Zum Schiff closeby in the village. I highly recommend to check it out(also inside the bar)

Excellent! My kids are happy!!! Perfect for a family vacation! Beautiful view also of the mountains and rivers. Wonderful hosts! Especially the guy who has no hair I forget his name but excellent service! Highly recommend and good German beer

Great location right on the river. River boat dock and bus stop very close to visit Heidelberg. Lovely clean facilities, restaurant and bar great service and great food.
Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Very peaceful site located next to the river Necker. The guys that run this site are super helpful and are gracious enough to speak English to a non-German speaking Englishman. They even recommended a bar in Heidelberg. There is a snack bar that also serves alcoholic drinks which also hosts live music some nights too. There are great transport links into Heidelberg including bus, train and a separated cycle path all the way into Heidelberg, only a 30 minute ride at a gentle pace. I’ll be back :)

We are Americans traveling Europe in a motorhome. This campground was really pretty along the river and staff was super friendly. Restaurant was very good. Shop was limited. When crowded it's a little like a parking lot but still on grass and pretty. Bathrooms etc super clean. Try out the dishwasher.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. We turned up without booking and were greeted by Brexit jokes feom the owners. The father and son were extremely friendly, spoke amazing english and were very helpful.
Our riverside plot was lovely and we had frequent visit from a pair of swans and their 7 babies.
There is a bus stop and train station within 5 minutes walk of the site which takes you straight into Heidelberg.
The site owner recommended we take the boat along the river. We did this and it was wonderful.
Would definately stay here again.

Great site on the river, very clean and relaxing

This is one of the best sites I have been to friendly peaceful pretty good value clean i have never met more helpful owners the odenwald area is fantastic and you can visit heidelburgh by bus train or boat i normally stay somewhere 2 or 3 nights here i stayed for 9 will definitely go back as there is a lot more to see and you can never tire of heidelburgh
