Upscale German restaurant with Swabian cuisine. Nowadays rare to find something like this in the city center, often only get pre-cooked industrial food. Certainly not here.
Courteous service, chic furnishings, excellent food.
However, this comes at a price.
Not much space, so be sure to make a reservation.

Outstanding dinner! Reservations are required. The service was fantastic. We don't speak or read German but our lovely waitress explained a good portion of the menu so we knew what to order. The menu changes but I understand that the schnitzel is a must-have. My father-in-law had it and loved it.

The salad for the schnitzel was great. Never had anything like it. The schnitzel was the best in town. The Thai soup was also good especially at $7euro. My steak with noodles had great taste. The steak had some chewy fat that I could have done without. Come here early if you don’t have reservations. Show up at 6pm. Otherwise...good luck.

If you ever visit our beautiful native town of Stuttgart, Germany stop by Vetter for some Essen and Trinken. You will love the location and atmosphere. The food speaks for itself…

BOUILABAISSE, cow tongue and monkfish! All the side dishes or garnish is almost top of the top!

My wife and I were joking about the name, as the food was really good (handwritten menu) and we would get fatter (Vetter in German) after eating there. Make sure to make a reservation, we were lucky to get a spot reserved only at 21:00. Great food, great wine and atmosphere under the nearby trees in this quiet street.

We went there as a group of four with two. My wife and I had never been before, but our friends had been several times. The bar was set high and Vetter lived up to the hype. The best Schwäbisch meal that I have had yet. Service was curt but prompt and helpful, the menu changes frequently, is varied, has plenty of vegetarian options as well. Highly recommended. Excellent wine selection.

Wonderful place. Excellent food, especially the sauces. Nice interior. Good value for money. Absolutely recommended.

Best Schnitzel in Stuttgart. Wine selection is good. Salad is fresh with a nice selection of appetizers. Bring your glasses because the menu is hand written and difficult to read. Parking is minimal on the streets. But the food is delicious. Warm months, sit outside. Cooler months, inside is warm and cozy. Staff is helpful, and always makes for a nice evening.

The spare ribs are very delicious, the best I've every had in my life. The bread is very tasty. We had chocolate melt cake for desert, yummmm, everything is top notch, our server is attentive, will definitely come back next time I visit Berlin!

Awesome Service. Long Wait. Great Food. There are a lot of homeless in the area which can be an experience but they didn't bother us. We waited for 30 mins. I have to say it was worth the wait.

Wir haben einen tollen Mädelsabend in der Weinstube Vetter verbracht. Total persönlich ist die wechselnde und handgeschriebene Speisekarte. Auch das Essen und der empfohlene Wein, waren hervorragend.

Unser einziges Manko, manche Vorspeisen sind von der Größe her als Vorspeise etwas zu groß ;-) aber das ist jetzt jammern auf sehr hohem Niveau ;-)

Absolut liebevoll geführtes Restaurant. Schöne, dezente Inneneinrichtung, kleiner und feiner Gastraum. Eine absolut ausgezeichnete Küche, verbunden mit einem freundlichen und sympathischen Service.
Die Karte ist wirklich außergewöhnlich abwechslungsreich und sehr harmonisch gestaltet.
Wer einen rundum gelungenen Abend verbringen möchte ist hier genau richtig.
Eine kleine Oase des Geschmacks, welche mit viel Liebe und Hingabe geführt wird.

Das Essen ist wunderbar. Ich hatte Tafelspitz mit Bratensoße. Die andern Gerichte sahen auch sehr gut. Es gibt eine gute vegetarische Auswahl. Leider hat alles an dem Abend sehr lang gedauert. Aber die Kellnerinnen waren sehr freundlich. Der Raum ist groß, etwas laut und sehr schön eingerichtet. Die Weinauswahl ist gut.

Absolute Empfehlung für ein nettes Abendessen.

Nettes, ruhiges Ambiente da nicht allzu grosses Restaurant.

Die Chefin (?), sowie unsere Kellnerin waren beide sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Die Dame, die uns empfangen hat (braune Haare) war leider etwas imkompetent resp. Vllt. Einfach nur unfreundlich?

So oder so, das Essen war genial! Die Wienerschnitzel luftig leicht statt mastig und fettig, leckere Salate dazu und auch die Getränke(-auswahl) top.

Dazu noch ein leckeres Dessert (im Bild die Griess-Schnitten) 👍🏻

Wir waren zu zweit an einem Mittwoch Abend dort. Das Restaurant war gut besucht. Ein großartiger Abend mit sehr leckerem Essen und einem charmanten und freundlichen Service. Ich versuche es immer, einen Besuch dort einzuplanen, wenn ich in Stuttgart bin.

Wir haben waren Gesten mit 7 Personen zum Geburtstagsessen dort. Vorspeisen (Salat, Suppen) sehr gut. Hauptgänge wie Lamm, Seeteufelmedaillon, Tafelspitz, Maispoularde, Chicorée sind sehr sehr lecker. Perfekter Service. Nachtisch (Creme Brulee) gut. Ein super gelungener Abend. Vielen Dank

Interieur, Service, Essen - hier stimmt einfach alles. Auch die Preise sind trotz exzellenter Lage und der vorzüglichen Qualität der Speisen immer noch fair. Da die Weinstube Vetter natürlich längst kein Geheimtipp mehr ist, wird eine Reservierung dringend empfohlen.
