Weingut Kloster Marienthal

Came for a wine tasting as a part of the group. As well as having some great wines and food, we were treated to the fantastic views of the area and great explanations by the staff. Also ended up with buying the wine so it must have been good

Beautiful place! We hiked from the city Ahrweiler to the Kloster and the hike was so worth it. The seating area outside was very pretty. The staff was super friendly, we had a cheese platter and some wine. Both were very good.

Located on the edge of the village of Dernau, situated slightly higher on the river Ahr.
The old monastery including the church is clearly visible. The entrance is directly into a wine shop with the collaborating winegrowers from the immediate vicinity: Genossenschaften (Dernau und Mayschoß) sowie den both Weingütern Brogsitter und Meyer-Näkel who also make the wines. The beautiful vineyards around the monastery are divided among the society.
The walled courtyard garden is a true retreat with a spacious terrace where you can enjoy the wines and delicious Flammkuchen. An absolute must to enjoy the surroundings and the wines 🍷

I loved this place so much I almost want to keep it a secret. After hours on the Rotweinwanderweg I was really looking forward to sitting down and relaxing for a bit. I got there a bit late but they were so accommodating. This place was not only peaceful, but had excellent wine and food. I got a glass of reisling and the goat cheese pizza. I don't know if it was the four glasses of wine from the trail or the hunger, but hands down best pizza I ever had. Thank you to my server Patrick for the recommendation!

Definitely THE place to stop if you’re hungry and want to enjoy a wine at a beautiful location. They have nice Pfannkuchens here and the wine tastes good as well!

The only thing that could be improved is the service when entering. You are supposed to find a seat yourself instead of being helped, this can be annoying if you don’t expect it.

Loved this place! Go there in the afternoon, order two glasses of wine and the cheese platter & enjoy the view in the sun.

The vineyard is located in an old monastery. The atmosphere is just lovely, the ‘Flammkuchen’ in many different variations really tasty and the wine ... well, you have to taste it yourself, a wide variety of wines from the region (Ahr) and there will definitely be more than one sort that does fit your taste. It’s such a beautiful location we will definitely come back!

Beautiful place and breathtaking landsview. You can go along the winery garden and enjoy yhe fresh air and clean atmosphere here. After long walk you can visit the original Kloster Marienthal winery and taste the wines. You will enjoy the beautiful taste and aroma for this wine. You can also take your lunch and dinner here. They have meals with very good taste.
