Ellerhoop-Thiensen Arboretum

Had an amazing experience here while witnessing a botanical collection composed exclusively of trees of a variety of species. Originally mostly created as many sections in a larger garden with different flora species from all over the world. There were also lots of rocks, specimens and fossils displayed which was quite fascinating. You can buy the tickets from the cafe adjacent to the entrance.

I was in a heaven. I felt so blessed. Happy. Vey well maintained. Amazing beautiful flowers . This is highly recommended for all who loves to get lost in a flower heaven

Lovely to spend a family day, with a little playground for the young ones too.
Children below the age of 16 are free!

The little lake is my personal highlight, with a wooden plateau to rest just above the water, you might even see fish in the summer!
The wisteria are a must-see in the summer.🌸

Every bit of the Arboretum is well-cared for and feels natural in its beauty- a real treat!
You can easily spend half a day here with the restaurant/café at the entrance, giving you the easy opportunity to take a second stroll with new energy! 🍴

Excellent garden experience, well laid-out so that following the suggested circular walk allows you to see most of the garden, the rest is easily accessed from it. Good in late summer, and I would expect it to be equally good at other times of the year. Particular kudos to the very helpful gardeners, one of whom went out of her way to point out something I had missed.

Fantastic place for a day out or just for a afternoon cake and coffee in beautiful surroundings. Staff is extremely helpful and the main parts are wheelchair accessible. Will definitely be back.

Lovely place with lots to explore

It is a beautiful place with samples of gardens from all over the world. The caffiteria is also wonderful with kakes baked with passion.

Lovely garden very well looked after and worth a visit. Probably best in spring and summer.

In the beginning you are not that impressed, however do not let this first feeling fool you. It is a nice garden. 9 EUR entrance fee may seem to be on the high side, though. They seem to look for volunteers to help with the garden too.

Well worth a visit any day of the year. Okay, winter months less to see, but not as busy, surprise yourselves.
