It is very interesting place with many historical spots. It is fascinating how one place can change in 50 years. It is worth a visit.

Large, interesting park full of different things to see! A quarry, ruins of limestone factories, green space, playground, restaurant... Quite a bit of bumpy and hilly paths, so be prepared for a bit of hiking.

There is a lot to discover, and you can book quite a few interesting tours for groups.

Perfect for nerdy people like me. There are also many green areas, well suited for a picknick. Entrance fees are very reasonable.

The only downside is, that it is not too easy to reach by public transport.

Wonderful park. For sure worth visiting even if you have to drive there a bit. Enough place to walk half a day long, but not dull because of the old historical factory buildings. There's even a small museum there and a children animal farm.

Came here for the Walpurgisnacht and have been amazed by the beauty of the scenery.
And at night, light work make it even more magical.
Would gladly come back to visit the museum, tunnels and other medieval bits.

Went on the open day so got in for free, lovely park and great geological museum, the quarry is also quite spectacular to look at. There is a cafe (only cash) and also picnic benches for bringing your own food.

Very interesting for kids and adults. A huge industrial site where you can follow the technology development of the last 150 years. For younger kids there is a little farm with goats to feed. The place is good for a summer family picnic, also having a cafe inside.

Huge fascinating park with original buildings. I would recommend bringing a bike because the park is so big. Bringing food also might be smart because the restaurant isn't cheap and as we visited their power failed and we had to wait for our food (a salad and a few wieners) for an hour. On top of that the staff didn't inform us about that until we asked them.
The park itself is great though.

Free parking, lots of different areas to explore for children and a lot of space to relax in the sun next to the river. Maybe not as interesting for smaller children (<3years) as there is a lot of area to cover and the terrain is sometimes steep an rocky.

An absolutely awesome place to explore if you like industrial architecture. You can easily spend between two and three hours here to see everything.

Another great day over here. The Christmas special was well worth the time and I gladly would have paid admission but it was free!

Remarkable location, we are very lucky to have such an historic cross section of mining, and that it is so lovingly preserved.

Awe inspiring. Makes one feel small, the scale of historical operations.
I recommend first climbing up to the right, onto the ridge, to look over the quarry.
Then to the battery of kalkbrenofen (lime kilns) on the far end of the park.

It was really fun you learn something and if you don't want to read you can also look at amazing buildings. You really have to support this place!
