Calmont Klettersteig

We have taken the Clamont Höhenweg up and decided to take Klettersteig down.
It is a breath taking path and amazing view.
The Höhenweg was moderate hard but for the Klettersteig you must be prepared! Don't go without proper shoes, small backpack with water and snacks as the path down is narrow, steep and at some points you should kletter on the edges of the rocks.

Superb hiking trail. It leads right through the vineyards. Not that dangerous actually.

(See pictures for all climbing elements) Most beautiful walk in the Moezel region, right through the vineyards! The walk takes between 1 and 2 hours, depending on your condition. It is possible to walk back along the bottom (by the road) or on top of the mountain. The walk is not suitable for small children or dogs, because there are a number of climbing elements, such as ladders and pins in the rocks. On the pictures you can see all the climbing elements you encounter along the way and an impression of the views. There are a number of places where you can rest in the shade. Bring yourself enough to drink, this is not available along the way. In wet weather the walk is not recommended. Also, mountain shoes are an advantage in order not to slip. Highly recommended this hike!

Beautiful area and hike. We hiked with two children, age 17 and 14, and had a great afternoon. You don't necessarily need climbing/klettersteig gear. It can be quite steep, wouldn't like to hike here in the rain. The lower part is the hard part, then you get to a bar with wine, cake, refreshments 😊👍 and the upper path is broader and easier. We started in Eller (you can park near the railway, next to the starting point).

Steep and inclined walking. Needs good shoes and gear. Carry plenty of water. offers great views on all observation spots. At the entrance you can find a map in German and Dutch. Thy seek blessings and carry on the great hike. They have steep curves with no railings. Be safe :)

Nice and beautiful walking route with challenging parts.
Tip Start at the church in Bremm and walk back from the railway viaduct on the Calmont Hohenweg or on the cycle path along the Moselle.

Adventures hike with diverse terrain and great views all way long.

Amazing hiking area. There are 2 paths to reach the top. Either you can take the Klettersteig which involves climbing ladders etc or the other way is a steep path through the forest. The second one is recommended during hot summer days

Whoever came up with the idea of this via ferrata is a genius. Okay, you do have to have to be fit, have good boots and a head for heights but really great to do.

The view from up there is very pretty.
Not really a klettersteig, just a few elements and easily to be done without a harnest.
Quiet a long hike though if you go in hot summer get ready for the heat.

Honestly, don't let the short length deceive you since it goes continuously up and down. Sometimes a bit daring and challenging, but the views (especially at the top) are completely worth it!!!

Beautiful view when the skies are clear. Can also jump with sky gliding with a instructor.

Moselschifffahrt

Tolle Aussicht auf die Mosel, hier leider mit Überschwemmung. Zwischendurch anspruchsvoller. Gutes Schuhwerk nötig. Und unbedingt zum Gipfelkreuz wandern und dort einkehren: Weinschorle, tolle frische Würstchen knabbern und den fantastischen Ausblick genießen!
