Iconic and deservedly so. A piece of living history whose lesson is as relevant as ever. It's also stunning to see modern apartment buildings hovering mere feet away from the wall. A profound intersection of art and tragedy.

The Berlin Wall stretches along the road. Each wall section has paintings by many different artists. Each artist has different ideas and perspectives in creating the paintings, and hidden meanings for the artist to ponder. You can walk along the entire length of the road and enjoy the art on the wall.

A stunning display of art along a long stretch of the Berlin Wall. There are information plaques on the wall telling you more of the story on the Berlin Wall.

There are some breaks where you can sit by the water or grass, which is good if you've been walking lots already but want to keep going to see more of the wall.

I'd recommend getting a bus at least one way, if not both, but definitely worth the visit if you're in Berlin.

You can spend as little or as long as you like walking up and down. Some parts are more popular than others and sometimes groups and queues form around to take pictures, but you can still get past or walk through to carry on.

If you like street art it’s worth a visit. Some very interesting paintings. You can walk the along an experience it all close up or drive by in car or one of the tourist busses, if you just want to see it in short and still experience the length and art.

The East Side Gallery in Berlin, Germany, is an absolute must-visit! This iconic 1.3-kilometer open-air gallery on a preserved section of the Berlin Wall features over 100 breathtaking murals by international artists.

Visiting it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! The murals are incredibly outstanding, especially if you enjoy art. One of the highlights is the legendary piece of the two Soviets kissing – it's truly a sight to behold and was the main reason I went there.

Even if you're not an art enthusiast, it's fascinating to see this historic stretch of the wall. Plus, you get a fantastic view of the magnificent brick bridge in the background.

Don't miss it!

Longest part of the Berlin Wall with all the famous graffitis. It’s a nice walk and you can spot the most popular one by the crowds next to them. It’s along the street so free to see.

What an amazing experience. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was treated to some amazing artwork on a very long section of the Berlin wall. A couple of openings along the path open into very nice parkways along the river. Fantastic.

Walls are famous for their very existence. Important historical place which associated the different sides of the city though people, culture was identical. Artists have portrayed a lot of interesting things on the wall. It's a bit crowded and one must be careful as the pedestrian path isn't wider.

Walls are not for healthy people in general but this broken wall represents artists' freedom. More power to those with free will.

Follow google maps direction as it will take you to the beginning of the wall. Each mural is unique and great for photo ops. The backside of the mural has graffiti, which is also very cool to see. The mural is along a river and park, so if you want to have quick picnic or have a place to hang out, it’s easy to pop to the other side to do so.

Nice walk back in history, for the oldies like me 😀. The graffiti are excellent and it was a nice walk to take. Sadly it just became a merely tourist attraction tough, I thought that for such a historic piece would deserve something better.

Quite an epic sight. A large amount of the remaining Berlin Wall covered in graffiti on one side and commissioned art works on the other. It’s situated along the canal /river bank and a great place to walk around. Chill on the green grassy spots and observe Berlin stream by.
