Go-to place for desserts.
I have never tasted hot chocolate so good with soya milk like they have it.

Carrot cake and chocolate cake are also top notch.

This place is simply amazing!! They serve warm delicious brownies with hot chocolate sauce on top. Also the cake selection is very nice and affordable considering the quality. Its one of my favourite cafe in Heidelberg. Definitely recommend it!!

I ordered the Weiße Schokolade flüssig, which was the best hot chocolate I've ever tried. I am a big fan of white chocolate, and its sweetness was great :) Their brownies, cookies, and cakes all looked fabulous though I didn't order them. Definitely coming here again to try other menus!

This Café is located in the heart of Heidelberg's old town. Shmeltzpunkt is situated almost at half the distance Between Bismarck Square and City Hall Square, along the Main Street (Haupt Strasse) that runs through the old town. It is modernly designed. The staff are very nice. Prices are average. You can take a break from your walk or shopping here. Take a snack or sip on your drink while watching the people go by in this very popular street. Sitting outdoor or indoor, you will have the same experience as the café boasts all-window façade.

An excellent experience. Nice tasty Waffel and ice cream .. the place is cool but busy as most of the places in Heidelberg during a spring weekend. Waffel was fresh and the chocolate used was tasty, the Carmel was weird though yet not bad. Ice cream is recommended .. the stuff are nice but busy and they may take time to notice you and to serve. Prices are average to high but acceptable.

My favourite cafe in HD. The waffels are divine. It's just almost always full. After finally trying the ice cream I love this place even more. My favourite flavour is the milchreis with cherry. The atmosphere is also nice and cosy.

Delicious beverages and desserts. I ordered the traditional waffle with chocolate sauce and nuts and a hot chocolate. Both were good, but the hot chocolate is amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable. Right in town close to all the shops and sites.

Last weekend, my friends and I were looking for a place to have coffee and dessert after dinner. We came across Café Schme, which was still open and bustling with customers.
We had chocolate drinks, coffee and ice cream, all of which were delicious. I also bought a box of chocolates for a friend.
After a disappointing dinner at another restaurant, Café "Schmelzpunkt Heidelberg" saved our evening. A casual place that stays open late. We were lucky as most of the cafes were closed.

Delicious coffee. For flavoring, they put scoops of ice cream in iced coffee. Best iced coffee I've ever had. The staff was very friendly. Definitely give it a shot.

My family loves it. Not ice cream only but mainly waffles with different toppings. Busy in the evening so it could be queue there.
