Lovely place to visit, out in the countryside, not far, about 30 minutes away from the Luxembourg border.

Roman Borg is a reconstructed Roman villa that is well-kept and gives its visitors a clear picture of life as it was then, a living museum.

The 'tavern' is an actual eatery, and after a tiring tour of the exhibits and buildings, a neal there will be a lovely end to round up the tour.

So cool! Great reconstruction of a real Roman fort. Current archeological dig site. Has a really cool Roman festival with gladiator fights and traditional tradesmen the first weekend of August.

A wonderful space that offers a slice of Roman life. Eating and drinking, museum, exhibitions, entertainment etc.. all very well thought out.

Absolutely loved it, such a charming place and so secluded with lots of things to see.
The food was amazing, very generous portions. Lovely girl that was our waitress was so helpful even though we didn't speak German so much.
Will definitely visit again.

Beautiful and well arranged place. The prices in the tavern are a bit high, but I would still go again.

Amazing restaurant to eat there, nice old renovated Roman Villa. Much suggested when there is an event, but also without to chill in the restaurant.

Amazing reconstruction of a Roman villa, with its three baths (hot, lukewarm and cold), Roman toilets, Roman kitchen, and even a restaurant where you can sample Roman food made from the famous recipe book of Apicus.

As a fan of Roman history I couldn’t pass this one up. Two trips there have been rewarding as more discoveries are made and the reconstruction’s are better each time.

Fantastic place. I grew up close to Hadrian's Wall in the north east of England where we had a rich collection of Roman ruins. There is also a restored Roman fort (Segedunum) in the area. Not on par with the Villa Borg however.

I have visited many Roman sites across Europe and loved Pompeii (up there as the best so far). But to actually see, a villa as it would have been almost 2 millennia ago ist astounding. It just makes it real.

The building itself is great but the artifacts including the glassware and metal locks/keys are just amazing. These are things that we didn't managed to reproduce for hundreds of years after the fall of the Roman empire. Looking at the quality of these you could assume they were made no more than a few years ago...they would not look of of place today in any modern home. This villa has the same feeling to it. It just feels 'modern'. If you did not know, then you wouldn't realise.

Now to the the Roman cold food selection. Well, we had to try this after our visit. The wasps were presumably reincarnated Germanic Celts and made the culinary visit difficult to say the least. Many thanks to the team from the Villa Borg for packing our food for us. I know this is not a thing that you usually do, so many thanks for accommodating us in this respect! By the way, the food was also great!

Anyone who love history and wants it to come alive, needs to soak up the atmosphere here. Highly recommended!

Wonderful and fascinating: a journey into the roman past 2000 years back .. a rebuilt villa shows how the romans lived.. more sophisticated than we thought! A must see worth a trip.
