Visited the Strandbad on an August Thursday. Was already quite busy at 11am. They were out of sunbeds to rent already (so make sure you bring yours or at least a picnic blanket). And yes, they do allow picnicing, you can bring whatever you want. The food kiosk served us well, so we had all that we needed (they offered amazing flammkuchen and bier). Okay, almost everything, they ran out of my favorite Helles beer by 13h :(
Other than that, the place looked very well maintained and clean.
The SUP station saw a lot of action with lessons and rentals, would definitely try this next time.
The lake water was refreshing temperature. We didn't miss having a pool.
By 16h there was a queue outside so I bet it gets even busier in the late afternoon.
Overall, a great leisure daytrip from Munich.

A short wait to get in when going in the afternoon but was not too crowded. Had a variety of sauna rooms, steam rooms, quiet areas to sit and access directly to Starnberg lake to cool off. Everything was clean as well.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! I like to travel back to to Starnberg just to come here. The sauna is simply impeccable. Impeccable! Brand new everything, the cold showers and pools are truly cold, the saunas are varied and beautiful, and if you follow the schedule you can be there to enjoy the staff heating the sauna with scented ice. There are two ways to enter the lake from the sauna complex, and various relaxation areas both indoors and outdoors. It is textile-free, and whenever I go there I find patrons are respectful, private, mind their own business and genuinely enjoy themselves. Staff is very kind. Entry to the pool + sauna + a rented towel came out to about 32 euro, but I recommend you rent a bathrobe as well for a few extra euros. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner too.

Amaizing sauna experience with a possibility to cool down in the lake. Be aware the Sauna is textile free, so it might be uncomfortable if you are coming from different cultures.

Usually quite warm. On Sunday morning, it can be overcrowded, especially in the kids area.

Awesome infrastructure. SUP rental, food and drinks available at the premises. Children area gets quite full but it's easy to escape. I would only like to pay with normal credit cards. At the entrance they only accept EC Karte and drinks are possible to pay from 15 eur up, which is hard to reach if you just want a coffee.

Cool location! There is an indoor swimming pool with water slide and sauna, as well as an outdoor area where you can lay by the lake and go via ladder in it and swim.
And all of this cost 5€ per adult.
Pretty cheap for such a cool location.
Changing rooms and lockers are all included. There is a little Kiosk outside for drinks and food.
Loved it. Will be back

Seebad Starnberg is a Wonderful swimming pool with things to do for the whole family. My kids really enjoy going for a few hours in the evening, using the water slides and playing in the kids pool. The prices are really good and there is even an attached restaurant that you can order sone small eats from. Seebad also has an exclusive Sauna option but we have not yet tried this.

Great location for families. Pool and see access for families costs 20 €. You can buy food on site or bring your own picnic baskets. Clean showers, bathrooms and changing rooms.

Recently renovated, it has saunas with different temperatures. My favorite one has a lake view. It's not that hot, so one can spend hours staring at boats and Alps.

Both indoor and outdoor options. Indoor was a bit crowded but there was a slide so it’s also a good option
