Amazing food! I had the Handgerollter saftiger Krustenbraten, and it was really good. It will be the first picture for this review, if you are wondering what it looked like. Customer service was outstanding. The server spoke English, which helped out a lot, since my German isnt that good. And there is a outside area with lots of space, with trees around that provide shade. It has a very friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good meal!

We came in right at opening time for dinner. The owner served us at first, and was friendly and comical. Helped us choose the best foods and beers on the menu. They offer a modern twist on traditional Bavarian foods.Their dark beer is great. His recommendations for food and beer ended up being delicious. The schnitzel was great.

The garden looked like it needed work; however, we came in the winter time, so we didn't get to see it's full potential.

If we ever return to Munich, we'd come back here again!

Fine german food and cosy atmosphere. A bit darker at night but still nice. Staff is ok. Dog friendly. Just don't order nonalkoholic beer like I did

We had dinner here on a recent visit to Munich. The restaurant has a lovely beer garden and the food and service is excellent. Highly recommended

Zur Schwalbe is a great hole in the wall Bavarian restaurant with great beer and wonderful atmosphere. The owners and servers are friendly as are the customers. The little bowling lane is a fun little twist you can reserve for parties. I hope to try it some day. Definitely worth a visit.

Great food, great atmosphere, friendly service.

The inner courtyard is like a oasis in the inner city, quite, no traffic. A very nice smaller menu with excellent dishes for fair and adequate prices offers all you need, no matter if you are hungry or just appease one`s appetite. It is also the perfect place to just have a few drinks with friends. The hosts and service are doing a great job not only during these tough times. "Zur Schwalbe" is becoming a home apart from home. Coming back soon.

Excellent food available here we had a pizza bread starter that was worth going back for.
Keep in mind the food is traditional so might be not what you're used to if from another country.
Staff were all very friendly and assisted us with the menu as we don't speak German.
The outside garden is very popular

This is a great hidden gem of a beer garden. The food is excellent and if they have their potato cabbage on the menu it is a must have, a culinary delight. The owners are super cool and make an amazing catered platters.

Best schnitzel I've had in my life. I usually don't like schnitzel, and I was afraid, but it is really delicious. Not sure if cheap or expensive for Munich (~€13), but was totally worth it. Also, the beer with lemon is something very different from what I'm used to. Highly recommend, would totally eat there again! Thanks to Hannes for taking me there!

Lovely place with excellent food. The atmosphere is cozy and familiar. Go there for a nice meal with some friends. Its awesome. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming!

Really great and authentic German food at reasonable prices. Usually not too crowded with tourists, a great beer garden and great Augustiner Beer...what else could you ask for!?

Very good restaurant ! Good food, ambience and friendly. The menu is in German, the lady introduce every dish in detail. Highly recommend, nice place to go!
