Portion was very small. Taste was just OK, nothing special . No salad to expansive meal or for that no vegetables either. 😕 won't be going there again in a hurry. Find it sad when you leave a restaurant still hurry 😢

I loved our visit. The staff was very nice and entertaining. The food was delicious. The whole atmosphere is awesome. The other guests were also all nice. Feels like an old school bavarian restaurant which did everything right on their transfer to the 2020s.

Lovely modern wirtshaus, great staff, awesome chef, and has a Kegel bahn bowling lane for special occasions. Classic Bavarian dishes elevated by a great chef. Also a nice British style fish+chips! The Best kaiserschmarrn in Munich!

Best Bavarian food we had in Munich. Everything was so hearty and tasty. The steak and spaetzle were easily the highlights. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommended.

For our last evening in Munich we were looking for a gemütliches Restaurant with typical Bavarian food. We found it at Wirtshaus Hohenwart and weren't disappointed. The food was excellent, so was the beer, very friendly staff and great atmosphere. I will make sure to come again when I'm in Munich the next time.

What a great find. If you're looking for authentic Bavarian fare, this place is highly recommended. We had been out for a meal at Giesinger Brau and dropped in here afterwards for a swift drink. The atmosphere was so nice and the beer so good, we stayed for a couple. It's a shame we only found this place on our last day, as the food looked excellent.

Very cozy atmosphere even on a crowded night. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing from starters to dessert.
You can also sit and play games you brought from what I can tell (there were people playing MTG and snacking on Kaiserschmarrn) which is cool!

Great food, massive servings so make sure you're hungry! I had the dumplings starter and the schnitzel main, and can recommend both.

Wait staff were very friendly and helpful, and I recommend dining outside if possible as it's a lovely atmosphere.

Most favorite and down to earth 'Wirtshaus' in Munich. They serve delicious regional meals, good beer and and the staff is super friendly and fast. They have a wide range of meals, also for vegetarians. Try the Knödel Duo!

Wow, yum! Delicious food and a good variety of offerings. The team are friendly and attentive and speak both German and English with ease. I can particularly vouch for the Schweinebraten which was perfectly cooked and tender. The vibe is also relaxed and friendly neighbourhood-y. Definitely can recommend this to you for a relaxed and complete meal away from the busiest spots.

The service is great! We tried going there Saturday night, but the kitchen was already closed. The manager got out of his way to point us to somewhere that would be open (not that many options). We went there for Sunday lunch, and were again super well served. The manager (same one) sat by our side and explained the whole menu (which was in German) and made recommendations. The food however took a while. We finished our beers and got schnapps shots for free for the long wait (really nice!). The food was great and the ambience as well. Definitely recommend!
