Very friendly and forthcoming reception and service + great food! If you want good quality and well made Bavarian cuisine in a spacious and cozy atmosphere, we can highly recommend this place. They are also very child / family friendly.

Very nice German food. The restaurant is a bit on the pricey side but the food is very good. Also be ready that the menu is small with not much of a choice. But the food is good!

Stopped in for a family dinner. Shared a typical Bavarian dinner. Roast duck, was a little dry, oxen fried and crispy delicious and venison sausage delicious 😋. Sides were red cabbage, 2 different kinds of dumplings. Our waiter was a real character and his service was great. 4 beers and a dessert. Bill was 150.00 euros, not too bad. Stop in they will be glad to see you.

Certainly local cuisine with a wide variety of dishes. We ordered schnitzel, gnocchi and split noodles. The dishes were tasty however the dishes are very greasy. The service is very nice and friendly, the place is clean. There is seating outside and inside. Expensive place.

2023 Summer - The half haxe is just nice in size. The dark beer sauce went very well with the haxe.
2023/24 Winter. The food and service is excellent as usual. A real Lifesaver when everything else nearby is closed on Sundays

Lovely outdoor seating. Excellent drink options including traditional cocktails and beer. For the vegan I had the Querbeet salad and loved it. Service was very attentive.

Amazing local food with great local vibes! We ordered a half pork knuckle, schnitzel and a asparagus cream soup. The friendly staff also recommended a tasty premium Hacker lager. Great dining experience! Remember to get a seat at the outdoor areas! We spent around 45€ for dinner, but it was worth it!

Fantastic ! really good food and excellent service ! Great family atmosphere I highly recommend Wirtshaus. Our waiter was very helpful there were no English language menus but he helps us read the menu and made recommendations.

We came by here for a late lunch to try it out. We walked from Marienplatz through the Viktualienmarkt to get here. It was fairly busy when we arrived around 1430 with all the tables being full. We decided to just wait for a table but it was a bit hard to get someone's attention since they were all busy. We eventually got a waiter's attention and waited a bit more to get a table ready.
After about 10 minutes of standing awkwardly by the entrance, we were eventually led to a table around the back. We were seated and had menus in English. We then ordered drinks and food to share.
The food here is amazing. Really delicious and the portions weren't too bad. The schnitzel and pork knuckle were juicy and crispy. I also quite liked the dumplings, particularly the yellow (potato?) one due to its sticky texture.
Although there was a bit of a wait at the start, the waiter was very friendly and the food is really nice. Quite a nice food stop in Munich.

Highly recommend the 1/4 duck! Well put together dish with the blaukraut. Sadly the pork knuckle ran out by dinner time, so we had the shoulder instead. Still good, moist and tender meat with crispy crackling. The Kloss dumpling texture was much like mashed potatoes and it goes great with the sauce! Portion sizes are relatively generous too.

Amazing food. Accommodated for my gluten free dietary requirements. My boyfriend said it was the best schnitzel he has ever eaten! Good alcohol free beer options. Great service! English menus.

Very nicely decorated and clean restaurant. We don’t speak German and the sever was really nice helping us in English. Pretty authentic German cuisine, beer, and atmosphere.

For a top-class Bavarian restaurant the lunchtime menu at Straubinger is great value-for-money, with most dishes under 10 Euro. The choice is quite limited but changes often, and there is always a vegetarian option. I love this place!

We enjoyed a delicious dinner here and it was very easy to make the reservations online while we were traveling on the train to Munich. Our waiter was attentive and took good care of us. We would definitely go here again in the future.
