Nebelhöhle is a great family-friendly day trip. The cave can be slippery in some parts, so holding onto the hand rail is advised; especially on one of the smaller offshoot paths. It’s also a lot chillier inside. Recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater. There is food and bathrooms available at the entrance to the cave. If you’re heading out there, Lichtenstein Castle and Freizeitpark Traumland are nearby and can be included in your day trip.

Nice place . You have to go down enough stairs. When you go down it is easy . When you go up you will need to catch your breath for sure. The cave is big enough you can see in many places have water or even small green plants. Nice adventure i like it

Very beautiful cave with lots of colors. You can walk freely through the nicely lit paths in the cave. Be sure to wear shoes with grip because its very slippery at some places. There is enough parking space available and a small cafe for drinks. Once you leave the cave you have to walk back up the hill. The entrance is a lot of stairs down.

Nice to see such stunning underneath mountains. Surprisingly, cave is so big, not sure where it's natural or manmade. It's big enough to have a good walk.

This is a beautiful cave. The walk ways are wide and well lighted. You will see beautiful stalactites. You will be able to be very close up to them.

To witness the stone formations inside the cave formed over millions of years was really a wow experience. Plan to carry a jacket & good grip shoes since it is bit cold & slippery inside the caves.

Way better than bear cave close by! You get to explore every little nook and cranny on your own. Very long cave too with many small dark passages. We were in there 2 hours! Highly recommend! Wear clothes you can get muddy if you want to explore. Otherwise street clothes are fine.

This is a UNESCO Heritage Site, situated in the Reutlingen area. It is easily reachable by car and the parking is free. You can find a small place that sells drinks and snacks just at the entrance of the caves, and several walks through the neighbouring woods start from here. The entrance ticket is 4,50€ per person, 3,50€ for the elderly, 2,50€ for children, and children below 5 enter for free. There are steep, narrow, wet steps all over the place so it is imperative to walk carefully and to enjoy the beautiful stalattites and stalagmites only when standing still. The full tour takes about a half hour.

I was interested to see and understand the meaning why it is called the Fog Cave.
With a a total of 450 meters in length it is named fog cave bec. during winter seasons the cave reaches it's humidity at about 90% and 10degress warmer than outside. When cold air enters the cave it combines with the warm air inside the cave. This mixing process, water condenses off the humid cave air into vapor. The fact that this cave have cracks on the surface these clouds of vapor emerges from the cracks thus forming fog, therefore it got its name "fog cave."

Astonishing new experience! It’s a group of caves that is interconnected from underground. Stone formations through millions of years are jaw dropping.

An underground cave located 20km away from Reutlingen city. We went there by public bus in August. Due to its remote location, only one bus
The cave is not crowded and fun to explore. Suitable for kids but not physically disabled people.

Unfortunately there are no information board available. Only way to learn things about the cave is by joining guided tour.

It will take about 30 minutes to walk from the entrance to the exit. Do enjoy the chilling air in the cave during hot summer!

A big cave for a very reasonable price of about 5 EUR.
Good for kids. Not too deep so not difficult to climb. Only steps, no lift.
Near the cave there is a good restaurant with local cuisine. Parking is free. The place closes early - at 17:00
No credit card accepted but there is a family rate.
