What a really nice hotel with a wake up call by the local Peacock and his girlfriend! Its in a lovely location with plenty of access to the countryside if you have time for walks. We only stayed 1 night on our way to Rothenburg but would like to return to take advantage of the area.
Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and the restaurant was busy in the evening so the meals must be good!

What an amazing place packed with fascinating history. The location of the hotel is fantastic and very quiet. The rooms were wonderful, the food in the restaurant was absolutely fabulous and the service couldn't have been better!!!

Stopped for one night en route from Denmark to Italy for Christmas .We had a very enjoyable stay. Comfortable room and great local cuisine in the restaurant.
Dinner and breakfast were very very good. The staff were great.

I was there for birthday festivities and didn't stay overnight. The location and ambiance are idyllic, the service and food were very good. We had a lovely time.

Such a lovely family run establishment. Highly recommend if you want somewhere in the wilderness which is quiet and close to the beautiful town of Rothenburg. We stayed 1 night 2 days before Christmas and the decorations and warm fire were very festive. Had a lovely evening meal, recommend the local fresh trout. The rooms are clean and well maintained and great value for money. Will visit again in the future during our German adventure.

The restaurant was amazingly good. The service was quick and the ladies were very welcoming. Have the blueberry cake if it's available!

Fantastic experience!
Rooms: Vintage - but everything is working fine and in a good shape. I would have preferred some higher quality bathroom amenities. The no name soaps don’t really befit the rest of the hotel.
Location: In the middle of a forest. It is very quiet and peaceful.
Staff: Friendly and service oriented.
Breakfast: Good selection, high quality.

We LOVED this place. My wife and I stayed there with friends for a long weekend in September. Great trails to hike in the forest and delicious meals served for dinner. The rooms were a good size and our breakfast experience was the best we had during this trip to Germany. We will be back.

The Cod was amazing. Nice atmosphere, worth the drive to this out of the way gem. Friendly staff that speaks English. Well worth the visit.

Very polite Staff and great, clean Rooms. The food is very delicious and the price is pretty nice.
