An amazing ride up to the wonderful Wallberg with breathtaking views of the Tegernsee. The weather can change quickly, but the gondolas, though small, offer a beautiful view if you're riding alone. 🌲 You glide over the treetops, sometimes feeling like you can almost touch them, like flying over nature. Some windows can even be opened. Truly an unforgettable experience! 🚡✨ The €27 for a round trip is absolutely reasonable.

If you decide to visit Tegernsee you should visit Wallberg for sure. It’s an amazing place near the Tegernsee. The ticket for Wallbergbahn costs 27€. On the top of the mountain there is a restaurant with panoramic view. Where you can take beautiful pictures. If you travel with car , you can park near Wallbergbahn. There is a parking there. The price 4€ for 4 hours. You can pay by card or cash.
And the last advice! Better to have jacket, because on the top a little bit cold and windy.

Located in the middle of the breathtaking Bavarian Alps, Wallberg Tegernsee is a tranquil haven for nature lovers.
Accessed via a scenic cable car ride, the journey offers unique views of the Tegernsee valley below.
For those looking to explore, the village of Wallberg offers quaint cafes, traditional Bavarian taverns, and boutique shops to explore. I especially recommend you try local delicacies such as hearty Bavarian cuisine and refreshing Tegernseer beer.

Great place to hike.
The cable car costs 11.5€/pers one way. One can walk then until the base in about 2.5 h.
The parking lot is quite huge and FREE and one can find a place even in the crowded weekends.
The upper views are amazing and there is also a restaurant above.
There are some hike ways possible from above as well.

Decent price of 25€ per person. Best part is we don't have to wait for cable car. It is small cars which can accomodate a group of 4 max and runs continuously. So once we have tickets it barely takes time to get inside cable car. The ride and view of the snow capped mountains are mesmerizing from the cable car.

Amazing place for family. You have parking near gondola, and also public transport is going to gondola. Price for up and down drive with gondola is 20 eur per person (or you can have two drives up and two time going down with sleds when there is enough snow, and you can rent your sleds there per 5 eur). You can go in gondola with strollers and dogs. Up there you have amazing view of Tegernsee and great restaurant with one of the best Apple strudel I ever tried. Amazing place for spending time on snow or just taking some fresh air and enjoying the view!!!

Absolutely worth the visit. To get up and down on cable car you will pay 27 EUR. Make sure you have sunglasses and something to cover your head, because you get higher than the clouds so most likely it will be sunny. Also try walking routes. We were dressed incorrectly for hiking, in jeans and new shoes, but it was okay.

Wonderful location for families and winter sports enthusiasts alike. This efficiently run facility amidst a beautiful setting makes winter worth while. The restaurants at the top of the mountain and half way down are both highly recommended. The 6.5km sledding run is fun, but still a little challenging; and sled hire affordable (€5). While the ski run is not enough to please winter sport experts, capable intermediates will enjoy a leisurely red/black piste, even if it does not offer the variety of other more formidable alpine locations. A great place to visit and return to.

Scenic ropeway to the top of Wallberg. Not crowded and well maintained. We found the prices a bit on the higher side though.

Hardly one and half hour from Munich, Wallberg is a highly recommended place for a weekend getaway. Enjoy beautiful view of the Tegernsee lake or Tegernsee area from the summit.

Great place to slide down the mountain. GPS: Wallbergbahn. 11 euros for the cable car up the hill, then slide down for free 😉. You can even rent a sled for 5 euros if you don't have one.

Great way to easily get to (almost) the top of wallberg. Getting to the very top is a hike with some rocky trails, but of course that's where you'll get the best views!

So every winter, it has almost become a ritual for us to come to Wallbergbahn for super fun sledding!

Wallberbahn is just 45 min drive from Munich city so perfect for a short weekend stop. They have almost 5 KM long (and steep!) track, with fantastic views. It can get really busy, especially on the weekends, so try to come here on a weekday and early in the morning.
