Best in show — by a large margin — on our long and winding trip through Germany.
We stayed in the apartments which are spacious, clean, beautiful views, and nicer in person than in the photos. Staff was really helpful and everything we needed (extra towels, etc) was easy to access on site.
Meanwhile, location is perfect for exploring the area…
Can’t recommend enough!

We stayed in the “Noir” apartment for five days in Bacharach. One should note that if you get one of the apartments they are in a separate building, which is approximately 100 meters away from the main hotel. The building is located next to the hotel’s parking lot, but it really was not much of a problem for us during our stay. The apartment was extremely large and well maintained but be aware that there is NO maid service, everything is self-service. Once you enter the building there is an area fully stocked with towels, trash bags, cleaning cloths, soaps, etc. to meet any of your needs and is very well maintained. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and quickly addressed any concerns we might have had. We only ate breakfast on two occasions due to early morning tours but is highly recommended. There is a wide selection of breakfast food items to meet anyone’s taste but cannot comment on the dinner menu since we never had a chance to eat in the restaurant. A few extra comments about the apartments: there is no elevator (lift) available so if you are on the top floor you will need to carry your bags up a few flights of stairs. In addition, on our first night there, I needed to wear earplugs due to the people above our room – sounded like a herd of buffalo above us but thankfully they left the following day, and we had peace and quiet for the rest of our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay at this hotel in the future.

We had a double room on the third floor with balcony. The room is very spacious and quiet. Location is in the very center of Bacharach as well as the hotel owned parking space. Very positive to mention is the charging station for electro vehicles with reasonable prices and easy to use. The staff is super friendly and supportive. Breakfast gives all what the traveller needs for a busy sightseeing day at the Rhine.

Wow!! 1) gorgeous historic hotel 2) the service is outstanding. The staff went out of their way to make my husband’s birthday special 3) nice restaurant (closed Thursdays) and breakfast 4) the wine tasting at dinner is a fun way to try local wines if you can’t go to the wineries yourself! 5) perfect location in the heart of the town WITH PARKING!

A friend told us to stay here, we did, and we will continue the tradition of telling our friends to stay here in the future. Thank you for great experience

The hotel is very clean and has a unique local vibe. The owners do a great job with the upkeep.
The restaurant downstairs is a feast room! They have a great variety of breakfast food that is fresh and delicious.

What a wonderful stay! We had booked a double room but when we arrived I had seen that the Bridal Suite was still available and we were able to change our reservation for that room. I am so glad that we did because the room was spacious and had a large corner balcony. We spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the view of town. The dinner was delicious and the included breakfast was generous. Would absolutely recommend.

A perfect stay. The apartment was bigger then we thought it would be and the location is perfect. The staff was absolutely amazing. I don't have the name of the young man but he was very nice, helpful and friendly. Thank you.
The hotel has a beautiful restaurant. I recommend trying the wine carousel, where you can taste many local wines.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel - really deserves higher than 3 stars. The balcony is huge and the rooms are really cozy and clean. Breakfast was exceptional, too. The staff was helpful but really not flexible - we asked to buy a coffee before breakfast started but were refused:)

Stayed in the Burg Rheinstein one-bedroom apartment and was 100% satisfied! The apartment was well appointed, with an extensive amount of cookware and dishware. The location was ideal, in the main part of town but still quiet at night. The reserved parking space was 5€ but directly outside the building entrance and easily the best parking in town. The hotel staff was friendly, well organized, and spoke English. A fabulous choice in a charming city.

Great place, an historical building that was the most elegant and it's still the best in town. The food is very traditional, but of high quality. Even though I'm not a big fan of meaty traditional German food, here I had the best Sauerbraten so far. The service is friendly and welcoming. Will come back again!

I feel this hotel should be a 4* not 3*
The attention to detail and personal touches are second to none. Just 1 thing though... there wasn't a kettle in the room, didn't bother me but the husband does like his tea. Also quite noisy in the morning with the passing traffic. I would definitely go back again

This is a wonderful family run(4 generations), hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable. The location is right in the center of town, yet quiet and peaceful. The daily breakfast is very tasty, with so many choices. It is included in the price of your room.
You can't miss this "on the Rhine" location. We wish we could have spent more time here, and left feeling like family!

If you're visiting Bacharach, book this hotel. It is elegant, very well run and the food at its restaurant was excellent. Bridal suite was large with a good size balcony which was great for a chilled afternoon.

We had an incredible lunch here and partook in a wine tasting. It was a little under 18 euro and it came with 6 mini carafes of wine. There were different options depending on what your taste in wine was, so you can adjust your order to your preference.
For lunch, the pumpkin cream soup was amazing. Honestly so delicious. I would have liked it if came with a slice of two of bread but the wine tasting came with bread so I used a slice of that.
The venison was nice and tender and the gravy was delicious. The pear and cranberry accompanying it was also a nice treat.
The pork steak was also tender and delicious, served with vegetables and potatoes, and every thing was well seasoned and delicious.
I hope to return if I'm able to come back to Bacharach.
There weren't really more than 3 vegetarian options, but I was pleased with what I ordered.
Thank you for a lovely lunch on a Sunday afternoon

Very beautiful hotel to stay at. The staff members are very kind and caring, the rooms are newly renovated and fresh. Even the elevator is one of a kind with touchscreen panels. The hotel is also located on a wonderful location with bars and restaurants nearby. We ate at Zeus where we got a free drink and some very delicious food.

We enjoyed our stay here. Location was perfect, staff was friendly and helpful and the apartment was well-appointed. 10 minute walk to the train or downtown.

Parking available for no charge. Great stop/start point for poking around this area. September is filled with Wine festivals and town is not crowded during the week.

Would recommend.

We spent two nights here and had a great time. Bacharach really does look like it's out of a fairy tale - so cute! The hotel is very traditional on the ground floor but the rooms are very up to date and modern. The restaurant served our best meals of our whole Germany trip. Be sure to reserve ahead of time!

We stayed here for 2 nights after arriving from the US. The hotel is charming and have generous rooms. It is a very quaint town on the beautiful Rhine River. The whole staff was courteous and the breakfast both mornings were very nice and served in their restaurant which seemed very popular.

One of my favorite places I've ever stayed! So much charm, character and ambience. I can't say enough great things about the hotel and the room, the room was extremely clean, the breakfast in the morning was great quality and provided a lot of options. Hope I get to come back to Bacharach so I can stay here again!
