Nice cafe tucked away on the main street, looks small from the outside but there is lots of room inside with a second floor and an inside balcony. At table service, with quite a wide variety of teas, coffees and cakes on the menu. There is a selection of cakes on display as you walk in to choose from. Nice friendly staff, quite a popular place with lots of people coming and going. Worth a visit.

This is such a small delicate café in a historic building. We were walking by the Alstadt and saw this cute little space, cake was yummy and affordable price. Worth a visit.

This is a wonderful place, well worth a visit. Been a Cafe Wein on the same site since 1500s. Burnt down a few times because like most of Wernigerode it's a half timber building. Wonderful selection of their own cakes. On a cold day a bowl of their wild mushroom soup will warn you up.
