Döner King

It's a small restaurant, but the food was yum, fresh, good price and served with a smile.

Sitting outside was nice as there was barely any inside seating.

The man who made the food spoke English and was very friendly :)

The serving was huge! Fresh and yum tho! Definitely wasn't hungry for ages after!

When I'm in the mood for a late night snack or need a quick lunch I get it here. The fries are always freshly fried, the meat ist delicious and the service, no matter which person, is always very friendly and jokes around with you. If you're lucky you might even get a freebie from the owner.
I either get a Dönerbox, a Dönertasche or a Dürüm with veal (Kalbfleisch). They have a white, an orange (not curry sauce) and a red (spicy) sauce which are all good. Recommend this place the most out of all Döner places in Göttingen.

Hands down the best döner chicken in the city, feels like it's open 24/7 (except mondays) and always there when you need it after a late night of drinking or studying. Cheap, delicious, nice staff, clean, and if you really need to sit down there's a small bar you can sit at and eat- but it's best as takeaway. My go-to 'I'm too lazy to cook dinner but also don't want to spend money' option.

Als ich das erste Mal den kleinen Dönerladen an der Ecke betrat, war ich ehrlich gesagt ein wenig skeptisch. Der Laden war unscheinbar, und ich hatte nicht viel erwartet. Die Einrichtung war simpel, fast schon ein wenig veraltet, und die Speisekarte bot die üblichen Verdächtigen ohne großes Tamtam.Doch als ich meinen Döner bestellte, empfahl mir der freundliche Besitzer, die Spezialität des Hauses zu probieren: Döner mit Granatapfelsauce. Zögerlich stimmte ich zu, nicht sicher, was mich erwarten würde.Was dann kam, war eine Offenbarung. Der Döner war perfekt zubereitet – das Fleisch saftig und aromatisch, frisch vom Spieß geschnitten, umgeben von frisch gebackenem Brot, knackigem Salat und sorgfältig ausgewählten Beilagen. Aber der wahre Star war unerwartet die Granatapfelsauce. Diese Sauce war einfach himmlisch – eine perfekte Balance aus süß und herzhaft, mit einem Hauch von Exotik, die ich so noch nie erlebt hatte. Sie verlieh jedem Bissen eine außergewöhnliche Tiefe und machte aus einem normalen Döner ein kulinarisches Meisterwerk.Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich so etwas in einem so unscheinbaren Laden finden würde, aber ich wurde eines Besseren belehrt. Es war ohne Übertreibung der beste Döner meines Lebens. Dieser Laden und seine Granatapfelsauce sind ein verstecktes Juwel, das ich jedem empfehlen würde, der auf der Suche nach einem außergewöhnlichen Geschmackserlebnis ist. Wer hätte gedacht, dass ein einfacher Zusatz wie Granatapfelsauce alles verändern könnte? Absolut empfehlenswert!

Bester Halloumi-Teller den ich bisher hatte. Nicht der Standard-Salat, den man sonst so bei den "Döner-Buden" bekommt :) Wirklich empfehlenswert!
