Victor's Residenz-Hotel Teistungenburg

I was just on my way back from Sweden and half way I found this lovely place in the middle of lovely country side. This is a great place to hold meetings, events. They have a great restaurant (only buffet) they have a great Klosterstube for snacks. There is a bar for cocktails and a lounge. Lots of parking is available. In front of the house their is a little charge. Most amazing is the Badminton Cortes and squash, fitness Center and a water world and spa. The spa is great use first the steam bath, than relax in the finish sauna and after that jump in the cold pool. After relax in the Infrarot sauna and than in the whirlpool. There is massages if you book early enough. Towels and bathrobes are on the rooms and they have a great bag for the wellness area. Lots to see and do in this area. unfortunately there is no tea and coffee or so in the room or a fridge sit so. Rooms a simple and basic equip.

We have been here two times, the most recent was 25 - 28.05.22. The hotel is located on the former site of a cloister, you can see the old walls as well preserved entrance and well.

Service: professional and courteous staff at all points. At the check in got a glass of juice as a welcome. We booked our room to include our chocolate lab, when we went into the room we found a dog bed as well a water/food bowl. Cleaning staff do a great job.

Facilities: the rooms are nice, look very up to date, with well appointed bathrooms. My only complain has to be the bed, while my partner slept well my side seemed to lean to one side, gave me the feeling I was falling out of bed at times.
The restaurant is nice, as are the lounges. I particularly liked the outdoor nova lounge, watching the cows wander around or just enjoying the quiet nature.
The pool area has not changed since the first time we were there about 5 years ago, but it is still enjoyable. The water is warm, with a relaxing out door pool too. Would be nice if it was open late so you can enjoy the stars on a clear night though.there is a water slide for the younger ones, or adults who like that, sauna and hot tubs.

Both my partner and I utilized the massage offerings, I had a oil massage and it was very relaxing.

There are squash courts and an indoor sports room in the main hotel. Bring white soled shoes if you wish to use them

Food: the breakfast buffet is perfect to start the day. Kept me going till 15hrs. Coffee machines offer all the fancy coffee drinks I can’t drink thanks to being lactose intolerant, but my partner loves those latte coffees. You can also have a thermal jug of coffee, great if you have a few people at your table.
Dinner is a buffet, with daily themes, we only had this one night (you can include full meals if you wish when you book). We tried the around the world buffet. Honestly it was a bit disappointing as we kinda expected sushi, curries to be offered, however I am not sure which countries the food was inspired by, but over all the food was good. Younger visitors eat at ½ price, which is good.

Lounges: I rarely drink anymore, but decided to try some cocktails and was not disappointed. Service was just right, drinks were good, and our son who is not yet 13 had a few “virgin” drinks which he really enjoyed. There are two lounges, the older one has a warmer atmosphere but is smaller, the newer one has a nice outdoor terrace, with heaters.

Parking: if you want to park close to the hotel, it costs 5€ per night, there is free parking a short walk away. May not be recommended if there is snow or ice, but spring/summer makes for a nice walk. There are two charge stations if you have an electric auto near the hotel.

Local attractions: there is a DDR Cold War museum a short walk away. An 11 min drive takes you to Duderstadt which has some old buildings from 16 century, as well restaurants etc.

We will most definitely stay again, and highly recommend Victor’s.

Excellent hotel in a beautifully converted, upgraded former barracks that housed the border guards until the Berlin wall came down in 1989. Well done Victor! The beautiful landscape of the south Harz is laid out before you on several vistas. The food is good if not gastro. The people are nice, the rooms are modern and delightful and the accept dogs. For some silly reason they charge for parking while the property is rural and has plenty of parking available... crazy policy. There is a super sports complex with swimming pool and sauna and spa.

Super hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, nice buffet and relaxing pool area. We loved it ♥ and hopefully, we wil be back 😀.

Remote hotel location situated close to an old castle ruin, which is party integrated. Good business event location, great buffet style food, several terraces, comfortable rooms.

The best vaction we had with our one year old. No bad comment at this hotel only they didn't had air conditioning in the rooms but the rest was fine.

Very friendly personal. Good food and very nice pool and spa area. Calm location not in the city, good for walks and relax. Kids friendly.

Great place, nice room, fantastic food. Perfekt view end lots of activities.
