Broterben Stammhaus

Great place to take a short break. Nice coffee and tasty pastry. Strongly recommend.

I chose this place as I had visited their other location in Marxheim and wanted to see how they differ. Broterben Stammhaus gets 5 stars as a bakery and lunch spot. Friendly, prompt service, sandwiches were great, coffee good and working there just fine.

I visit places as part of my #WorkFromAnywhere project. I almost always arrive by bike with a laptop. I want to see if I can get work done and feel my bike is safe. My reviews are more for those working from home who want a break or bike tourists looking for coffee. This is not a food review.

Another #WorkFromAnywhere excursion and this time off to the main location of Broterben in Weilbach (there are only 2)

This bakery has been in existence since 1768 and is now in the 7th generation. There has been a lot of attention made to the design of the bakery; very modern, spacious, bright with comfortable chairs and tables. Still, the design has touches of the 200-plus year history. Photos of the family hang in the bakery and other lovely touches.

The design is very inviting with lots of tables inside so finding a place to sit and work was easy. Staff was very friendly and prompt. Coffee and sandwiches were very good. Wi-Fi password hangs on the wall near the windows. I spent a comfortable hour working here and could have stayed longer. There were no power ports to be seen so bring your own if needed. Outdoor seating is a single spot at the door, so not really worth giving it a try.

The bike situation is not ideal. There is nowhere to lock a bike and leaning a bike against the large glass windows would not be ideal. The town has only local foot traffic so I felt fine leaving it outside the door. I could easily see the bike the entire time.

Broterben takes their bread baking seriously and the staff enjoy serving the customers. They take pride in their work, both in quality and presentation. The 60 minutes I spent there in the cafe in Weilbach was very pleasant and productive.

This is a cute little bakery and coffee shop that has a variety of pastries and bread options. They also have indoor and outdoor seating options.

Make sure you go early in the day as they can sell out of a lot of items and you'll be left with only a few items to choose from.

They also sell wine so it's a perfect spot to have brunch!

Tolle Bäckerei ich hin froh das ich den kurzen Umweg auf mich genommen habe um hier zu frühstücken. Der Kaffee wird an einer Station frisch zubereitet und ist hervorragend! Gebäck und Kuchen ist sehr lecker soweit ich das beurteilen konnte. Ich habe selten eine Bäckerei gesehen die so stilvoll eingerichtet ist. Man fühlt sich direkt wohl.

Wir waren am Dienstag da, haben was leckeres gesucht zum frühstücken. Hier werden leckere belegte Brote gemacht, mein Favorit Camembert mit Feigensenf oder Croissant mit Wildblumenkäse. Es ist keine typische Bäckerei, zutaten sind 1A, alles wird vor Ort gemacht und der Cappuccino sehr lecker! Auch der nette junge Herr der uns bedient hat, schenkte uns ein leckeres Süssteilchen und konnte uns alles fragen beantworten.
Preise sind ganz normal. Wir kommen wieder!

Die Bäckerei ist sehr gemütlich und in jedem Fall empfehlenswert. Klar das Sortiment ist nicht unbedingt billig, aber dafür von wirklich guter Qualität. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, der Kaffee schmeckt vorzüglich und man verweilt dort sehr gerne, da die Einrichtung und Atmosphäre dort sehr ansprechend sind. Also alles in allem ist diese Bäckerei wirklich klasse und etwa besonderes, nicht wie die großen Ketten. Sehr schön

Sehr guter Kaffee definitiv für Genießer! Die Preise sind für diese Qualität vollkommen in Ordnung. Für Hamburger sogar recht günstig im Vergleich ;-) Habe mir auch gleich eine 1Kg Packung vom leckeren Broterben Espresso für Zuhause mitgenommen.

Eine sehr schöne Bäckerei im tollen Fabrikambiente. Die angebotenen Waren sind von sehr guter Qualität und schmecken sehr frisch und lecker.
Auch die Bedingung ist sehr freundlich und kompetent und die gesamte Atmosphäre lädt zum Verweilen ein.
Am Wochenende gibt's zudem ein tolles Frühstück.
Nach dem Umbau wirklich sehr schön geworden.

Personal ist soo übertrieben freundlich und sympathisch ♥ Das Frühstück war Übels lecker, egal was wir hatten, hat alles übertroffen. Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier und sind positiv überrascht.
Wir waren auf der Suche, nach etwas Neues und außergewöhnliches, den haben wir jetzt.
