We visit this place every time we are in winterberg and always have a nice experience.
Last night I had the rib-eye steak and it was excellent, so tasty! The chips are simply the best!
On Saturday night you have to pay an extra 3€ for the live music that starts at 9…

It doesn’t matter if you are looking to start you night great or to end your day on a high note. When in Winterberg this is the place to go! Where other restaurants around these parts will offer you more of the same or pancakes, this place has great homemade food, good atmosphere and great service to boot! The shortribs are to die for, the steaks are huge and served sizzling and don’t even get me started on the loaded fries. The servers are attentive and know what there doing and the owner of the Blackwater greets you at the door and makes you feel welcome and at ease. And several times during the night does he come by to check if “all’s ok”? He even brought us a container of gravy to go along with the take out we took home to make sure our food would be as awesome the next day as it was on the night itself. As our vacation comes to a close this was definitely not one to be missed. We’ll be back next time Blackwater. And we’ll be hungry!

One of the best steaks I have had in a long time the steak salad was as good ,take it from a chef the service was to a good standard friendly the little Dutch waitresses that works here friendly but should tone down her every 5 minutes asking if you want something else ☺

Great, great place! It's so warm and open, and I haven't felt this way since the NYC bar scene. Just such warmth, and such a cute yet large place. Great drink selection and food that satisfies the greasy food desire, but also salads and such. And the owner and staff are just GREAT!

Amazing staff and kitchen! Really great food and drinks. We came here every evening of our stay for food and drinks. Great mojito too. Has a real pub feel, and the desserts are great value ! Will be back.

We spent NYE there and it was great. The restaurants in the entire area were fully booked, including this pub, but the staff of the pubwas super helpful and understanding of our situation, so they manage to arrange a takeaway meal for our group of friends. We really appreciated their helpfulness! The NYE party was really nice, with great music and fireworks at midnight. We strongly recommend the pub for a group of friends and family.

This is the only place to be in Winterberg where tasteful dining and good atmosphere goes hand in hand. Make sure you book a table in advance!
