Gleichen Castle

Small walk up the hill to this historical site. Visit in summer when it is open and you can enter for a very small ticket price, then explore the castle ruins at your own leisure. Don't forget to climb up the tower to enjoy the views! Follow our adventures @SLYSTRX

I've been here many times and I'm always amazed how wonderful this spot is! Great view, you are allowed to do picknicks there, and the atmosphere is wonderful!

We had nice hike in the Drei Gleichen Trail. The castles and ruins are not something very special but it's a easy hike and very peaceful nature around.

A castle from the three same Castle "Drei gleichen Burgen" (a ruin from the Roman Architecture). I can guarantee that you will definitely enjoy the place. Specially the amazing ancient ruins, toilets, basement tower (currently museum and top of the tower you can enjoy the country side views), water reserver, windows, walls, protective measures, beautiful trees with seating etc. will really give you peace and take you to the ancient time.
I was relating the architecture with different historical movies.
Entry costs are not that much, costs only 3€ and they have also Discount Ticket for family.
Moreover you can buy souvenir from the ticket shop, also some toys for kids.
There are enough parking places at the bottom of the hill.
The most beautiful and interesting past was the museum (it is inside of the tower building).

It's good. Easy way to castle ruin. Tickets around 3 €

Very cool place to visit, hard to access for people with some mobility issues and all of the informations in a little museum are in German but even if you don't speak the language you can still enjoy the ruins and a great view. Adults pay 3€.

Great view from the tower. On the way to top there are exhibitions about local plants and animals. Entrance cost 3 euro per adult. You need to park next to the road on the dirt improvised parking.

For the entry of 3 euro this castle ruine is worth the hike. You will have a wide panoroma view and a lot of benches and space for a nice picknick. You can discover the place like an adventure.

Visit them during the evening time, all three forts are lit up and they look spectacular. A little before dusk and the view from the forts are excellent.

Takes some time to climb there, but it's worth the effort. Great view, a nice exhibition inside the tower.

Eine wunderschöne Burg in Thüringen.

Der Weg zur Burg hoch ist verschlungen, aber malerisch. Am Wegrand stehen immer wieder Schilder, die auf die örtliche Flora und Fauna hinweisen. Und ab und zu findet man auch eine Bank zum sitzen. Das ist insofern erwähnenswert, als das man von diesen Stellen aus immer einen tollen Blick ins Tal hat!

Die Burg selbst ist einfach sehr schön instand gehalten und bietet ebenso einen tollen Rundumblick.

Alles in allem eine sehr hübsche Sehenswürdigkeit, - ein Besuch lohnt sich!

Najfajniejszy widokowo zamek(jeden z trzech blisko siebie) wieża z ciekawostkami przyrodniczymi i rozległy dziedziniec z miejscami do odpoczynku. Wejście płatne 3 EU od osoby dorosłej za to parking jest bezpłatny ok 1,5 km niżej.

Toller Ort mit Historischen Gemäuer. Kann viel sehen und erfahren. Gut zum verweilen und Picknick machen super geeignet. Tolle Aussicht.

Es ist immer wieder ein Genuss hier oben zu verweilen. Freundlicher Empfang des Burgward's,der hier für Ordnung sorgt und den Eintritt kassiert. Der Burghof ist gepflegt und im Turm befindet sich eine kleine Ausstellung. Bei schönem Wetter hat man einen wunderbaren Rundumblick.
Der Weg nach oben benötigt etwas Puste und gesunde Füße.Ein Besuch ist unbedingt zu empfehlen.
