Am usually very suspicious of restaurants in prime tourist locations but this place was excellent. The very lean steaks were cooked to perfection; great salad and an awesome pepper sauces. Reasonable price and attentive service overlooking a grand sweep of the Rhine (no comment re the naked sunbathers opposite!!)

Perfect place to spend an afternoon lazing by the Rhine. Take a seat on the deck for a view of the Rhine and grab a drink! I came alone but the waiters were very helpful. It drizzled slightly but not a problem as most of the outdoor seats had large umbrellas for shelter. Didn't get an English menu but Google translate worked fine, otherwise the waiters would be happy to recommend as well.

Very nice place to chill, drink and have delicious meals (they have good pizza) and bring your kids to enjoy the playground!

Located by the river,really nice to dine in or out,looking over to the river speyer.plenty of seating available.the menu for food was really good,catering for all tastes and vegans and children.the drinks menu was also very good. Had the burger,which was the best ever.service was excellent,and also the price.the toilets were super clean.if we were down that way again,thats where we would go back to to dine.thankyou team rentschelers

Directly overlooking the Rhein River we enjoyed two Affogato al Caffées in the afternoon.

Had dinner here with my German cousins who recommended it and I thoroughly enjoyed authentic German cuisine. Tried rabbit for the first time and a few other dishes. Waitress was friendly. 👍👍up

Great place to stop on a bike ride. Cold beer and horses.

We had a very nice dinner with 8 colleagues. I ate gluten-free and vegetarian. I took the homemade guacamole with nachos for starter, chili sin carne for main dish and the homemade crème brulé for dessert. Everything tasted very good. The restaurant is located next to the Rhine and walking distance from the old centre of Speyer.

Best currywurst in all of Germany and I have eaten my fair share. Handled a large party (5 adults 3 kids) with no notice, with ease. Friendly, fast service. We wish we could have stayed longer but had an appointment. Will be back for a more relaxed time in the future.

We stopped in here after a walking tour around the town. We had the most wonderful coffee while sitting outside in the sunshine! we only had coffee, but other patrons around us were commenting about the delicious baked treats. The inside of the restaurant, and the washrooms were VERY clean! This was a great spot to watch the people go by, ad to decide where to stroll to next.

Great views of the Rhine river and good food and service! They are also very helpful with gluten free food options. Would definitely recommend this place also for hosting events.

The outdoor seating area is very nice too and they have a kiosk where you can order your drinks outside!

Really lovely food. Big portion sizes, friendly staff and a wonderful view. Slightly on the pricey side.
