Amazing! Seeing the recreational viking houses is like going back in time. The King Hall building was impressive with its 62m, and beautiful wooden structure.
The only comment is the pricing, students are considered above 18y if studying but those between 12-18y that are studying are considered adults. We did not see the logic behind, anyway it is worth to visit.

Really great day. Wasn't sure what I was expecting but I had such a fun afternoon here. Staff were fantastic, exhibitions were outstanding. It's a little pricey, but once I started looking around I understood why it cost that much. Dog friendly too.

Wonderful place to explore on a day out.
We loved the Viking hall the whole village, it’s all so beautiful.
It was definitely worth the visit from Copenhagen. We also found it very easily and well connected to arrive and go back by train and bus.
We will forever cherish this day.

Absolutely legendary place. Try to go when they first open to get the most out of the day. So many activities and places to explore. It is a must to go in the Viking Hall, at the bare minimum.

Great experience for family, for a full day
The day entry is the same price as an annual subscription, but totally worth it.
Several villages, each one with several attractions, workshops and things to see, do and touch.
Kanoo boat trips, ceramic workshop, spear throwing, bow and arrow, archeological games, and many more diverse activities over the course of several ages.
Of course the king house is very impressive and the many different characters and villagers. It was an awesome day, almost the family loved it.

Recommended!!
An open museum that cover 3 different historical periods of the town Lejre.
The place let you try for yourself a big verity of practices, like: bow & arrow, pottery, cooking above fire, carpentry and more.
The staff of the place was extremely friendly and educational, I can't recommend you enough to just approch then and start a conversation in every chance you got you, you are promised to learn something new each time.
And the cherry on top, the Vikingekongehal...
A must to see place.

Really nice place to visit, lot to see, you need to walk a lot. Amazing people working there, in the summer some famillies are living there like it was 2000 years ago.

A really cool place to explore! The great hall is impressive and beautiful! The campus is massive and there are tons of activities for people of all ages. Unfortunately, due to Covid, many of them were closed. But you can literally walk back in history from the stone age to the 19th century and take part in activities that would be common in that time period.

I really liked talking to the people in costumes and asking them what they are doing. You learn some really interesting stuff about how people used to live (iron Age, bronze Age etc.). It's really cool. There was a lady who was trying to make underwear out of nettle. They had very old breeds of pigs with dangling things on their cheeks which you can feed. Great for adults and kids alike.

Went the last day of the season, even though it was rainy. We had such a fun time even though we got soaked. We had the Kings Hall all to ourselves pretty much. One of the employees named Sif I think gave us such a good tour. After we walked around the whole trail, we wanted to stop by the Kings hall to say goodbye to her, but we had to catch a bus. She honestly made our trip so cool. We loved hearing her stories about viking history ❤ thank you!

Great outdoor place showing the life in those times. A plus are the guides who are very enthusiastic and have a lot of knowledge about the history. A must if you come to Copenhagen and surroundings

Very fun! We go here every year. You can do archery, throw spears, paddle canoes, feed fish, make bread, and explore! The staff are very kind, and yes, they speak both Danish and English. I recommend getting there right when it opens and be the last one there. You want to see everything! Make sure to visit the great Viking hall that was installed last year. Also, visit the blacksmith shop. Sometimes, you can make things with a smithy. I recommend bringing your own lunch, because the food is pretty expensive, and you do not want to end at lunchtime. All in all, this is one of my favorite things to do in Denmark.
