The Viking museum was extremely informative and a must-see for those with Nordic ancestry. We were unable to eat in the adjoining Cafe as there was a large group event inside and all of the outside tables were full as well -- perhaps good signs about the quality of the food?

Many of the displays had legend cards in English, but some did not. There were iPads in the museum as well at some of the displays which could be scrolled up to change the language presented which was helpful.

Being able to walk in the cemetery among the stones and the ancient funeral pyre remains was a remarkable experience, but the path through the small forest filled with the constant cacophony of crows was a little spooky especially considering its proximity to all of those old viking souls. It felt like a Harry Potter movie moment.

One of the best museums I've ever been to. To be honest, I did not expect such an experience!

Fantastic destination for anyone interested in Viking history. This is a large Viking graveyard dating from 600 to 1000 as, with burial mounds for many, including a number of warriors interred with ships. Only a statical glitch during the ice age saved it as the entire site was buried and thereby preserved.

The museum is very nice and worthwhile. Definitely visit and pay the fee to support the site.

Recommended, only a few minutes outside Aalborg. Easy to get to and ample parking.

I never knew what a viking burial was like until I visited Lindholm Hoje. It's amazing to me how old these graves are. The museum was cool to visit and larger than I expected. I came close to closing time so I didn't explore as much of it as I would have otherwise.

Very interesting museum in which to learn about the Viking Age. You can take a look at lots of recovered items and read about them. All of the text is in Danish but they have tablets with the information in English and German (maybe more languages but I didn't check). Definitely a place to visit!

Wonderful place. Ancient Viking settlement, essentially on a hill surrounded by woods with the estuary in the distance. The dwellings are outlined with stones and many signs explain what it's all about and the site's history. Out of seemingly nothing, this place had a wonderful atmosphere and everyone loved it, even our 5 and 6 year olds. Highly recommended.

The exhibitions were fascinating and most of them were accompanied by English translation. You could even row a viking ship. Walking through the grave sites were more meaningful having gone through the museum first.

This is an amazing stop for any one interested in Viking history. The burial sites with circles for women and ship shapes for men is remarkable....and these are the original stones! The museum with many of the excavated artifacts was also interesting.

Awesome place. Lots too learn, amazing all the stuff they uncovered. It's so wild that a place like that can be forgotten for so long.

A museum worth visiting when in Aalborg as it is a short bus ride from the city center. I enjoyed learning about the Viking age and then walking around the Viking burial grounds right next door.

Nice museum. You can get a lot of info about the vikings. There are free guides in many languages at the entrance. Then there is a big museum that explains you the way of life of vikings and the story about the viking tombs and the cemetery. It is a nice place to learn and breathe the history.

Beautiful place rich with history. The museum is right to it but entrance to the burial grounds is free of charge. Definitely worth a visit when you're in about last Aalborg.
