Saltcentret

one of our favorite places here in Denmark for us. We visit it regularly and have a good restaurant too.
The therapeutic effect of pool salt is very good💯

Great museum. We really learned interesting things about salt, got to see how it is made (live demo) and could even swim in a pool with saturated salt water. This is great center, with a good shop to buy gifts in and very friendly employees.

Amazing place with lots of activities and beautiful views

An incredible "salt processing" approach!
Over the years I have seen/worked in various salt production facilities-- including mining, evaporation of sea water, etc. But the approach used in Mariager and environs is nothing short of amazing- when views from a "Creative Perspective"! About 5 kms (3 miles) from Mariager there is a "huge salt rock"-- measuring about 60 cubic meters -- at current use it will last another 21,000 years!!
Small amounts of the "rock salt" are dissolved in water and transported by pipeline to the facility and interesting displays located on Mariager's port. There heat removes the water- thereby producing salt. The facility- opened about 20 years ago- has many displays, tells a story about salt production and also displays many salt based products (which are available for purchase). There is also a warm "salt water pool" which may produce health benefits. The associated restaurant serves "pleasant food"!

Nice museum, not to big but a lot of things to do and see. You can even make / collect you own salt from seawater.

Is very nice please inside in the shop you can buy many things salt Sun cream and there is a swimming pool inside with the salty water in you can't see the procedure how can we make a salt

Skønneste sted med oplevelser for alle sanser! Varmtvands salt bassin, lækker café og spændende saltmuseum for både børn og voksne. Beliggende fantastisk smukt med mulighed for at sidde helt ned til fjorden. Her er plads til både børn og voksne... Kan varmt anbefales!!

Spændende center for både børn og gamle. Vi er kommet der op til flere gange. Høre omkring hvordan salt udvindes og se hvordan det sydes som på Læsø.
Prøv også hvordan det er at bade i det døde hav, i deres saltvand bassin.
Det en fin oplevelse til en meget overkommelig pris.
Personalet er søde og gode til at fortælle.

Gode film og udstillinger. Kan varmt anbefales. Desværre ingen aktiviteter på besøgsdagen, angiveligt pga sygdom. Fin mine-udstilling med sjov film.

Fantastisk oplevelse!

Alt fra betjeningen i receptionen, til turen i saltbadet, til en dejlig frokost på Café Salt med en god service også, var helt igennem en god oplevelse.
Søde og smilende medarbejdere, dejlig varmt vand, store portioner mad og alt sammen til en yderst rimelig pris.

Det bliver en kæmpe anbefaling herfra

Es ist einfach ein schönes Fleckchen, Besuch des Centers und danach gemütlich ein Softeis und den Blick über den Hafen schweifen lassen

Ich als Lüneburger der die Lüneburger Saline kennt finde diesen Ort sehr interessant, alles toll dargestellt... super!!

Fint center med spændende fordrag om salt og salt sydning. Og en virkelig god oplevelse at prøve det varme salt bad.

Schon viele Salzmuseen besucht - aber dieses im hohen Norden Dänemarks ist einfach mega super Klasse. Ich kann nur jedem, der in der Nähe Urlaub macht raten, einen Besuch einzuplanen - es lohnt sich wirklich
