Bahia Principe Grand San Juan

This review is long overdue. My husband and I got married there in summer of 2017 and we could not be happier. Our wedding coordinator Arlyne went above and beyond to make sure everything would run smoothly. During the rest of the week, we had no issues making dinner reservations for our group at the restaurant s and all were great! We are truly greatful for the wonderful experience we had with our family and friends at this hotel

As my first experience in an all-inclusive resort, I have to say I have been very impressed of the quality of about all aspects of the property. The staff is fun, smiling and very friendly. The entire property, from the buffet to the beaches to the rooms, is kept nearly spotless. The rooms are well furnished with the standard amenities you would find in most hotels but are a bit smaller than a standard room. The wide selection of things to do means that boredom is rare and there is a kid's club as well. The food and drinks are good, some items are amazing, some are okay but overall the dining experiences are 4/5. Overall, this is an amazing resort and I would definitely go back in the future!

This is by far out of all the hotels I've visited the best and most welcoming. I always look forward to coming back for a memorable vacation! The animation team do an amazing job at leading all the games and activities. The lobby staff will help you with any of your concerns with your room and anything else you need. The restaurant and bar staff will cater to your every need. I can highly recommend this hotel as one of the best ones out there!

We stay there for New Years 2019, we had an amazing time! We a group of friends in our late 20s. The resort was clean, the grounds big and a lot of beautiful gardens, service was great everywhere. The restaurants were nice but the buffet was a little understaffed always for waiters. Bars were nice, especially the country style pub at night. The casino was not very lavish and it was dead. The night shows were descent and the disco was fun and live. This is not a party resort and it's very far from the club beach district (40mims) so don't come here if that's what you want. It's more for families and friends that want to have a good time. The beach was not great, I'm use to Cuba so my expectations are high, but it's not bad.

Great resort with lots of activities to keep you busy. The entertainment staff do a very good job at bringing people in and running fun and exciting activities at the pool. Great job to Tomas and Daniel, who ran a lot of our activities during our visit.
Food is good- lots to pick from and a lot of variety, so even picky people can find something.
The beach is average, but the great pool makes up for an average beach.
Would recommend this resort, and return in the future.

I love this hotel!!! I highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is good! They have a variety of different foods and the buffet is very clean. The activities are fun and there is so much to do that you won’t have time do it during your stay. The beach and pool is also clean and very spacious. My first night here they had a Michael Jackson show which was AMAZING! If you’re looking for a hotel to stay and enjoy your vacation with a loved one or entire family definitely come to Bahia Principe because I know I will!

Its good. I wish that the water was a little more colder and the pool didn't close so early but besides that the food was really good! The beach was amazing and if you ever got hungry you could just go to this spot that is close to the beach and get something there. The animation team is cool they always make sure your moving and not just sitting there.

Very good resort. Staff extremely friendly.
Food is delicious and the buffet is themed every day. During our stay we had Asian, American, Dominican, Italian and even Russian nights. But even during themed days there is plenty of choice of non themed food.
The beach is great, quite long. The big sandbags out in the water crash the waves, so it's pretty calm. Try waking up early and walking along the beach to search for washed up sea shell. Found the attached one morning.
Entertainment every night 20.00 for kids and 21.30 for adults. But even adult entertainment is suitable for kids.

We have had a great time however, the food has been quite bland.
The food requires more seasoning and flavour.
Otherwise, the animation staff have been wonderful, the surroundings were beautiful and the rooms were tidy.
Wish that the pool would stay open past 1830h

My boyfriend and I visited Grand Bahia on a whim to get away and it was honestly one of the best resorts I've been to. They really care about their guests and making them happy always. The rooms were very modern and cleanly. The resort itself was stunning and seconds from the beach. The entertainment was always different and so unique. Very well thought out and a lot of time and effort went into organizing it. I liked that the snack bar was a buffet. The a la carte restaurants were delicious and the waiters were very polite. I quite enjoyed the on-site karaoke bar, Caribbean club and casino, along with the little shops. It was a nice touch to the resort. Definitely made it worth my every penny. 10/10. I will say the buffet was mediocre and the hour and a half bus ride from the airport to the resort was long and tiring but everything else kind of makes up for it along the way and I still had an amazing time.

Although some of the residences looked a bit outdated but they were well maintained. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The food was on point. The beach is not the most beautiful in the Dominican Republic but it was nice. The restaurants were very clean and the staff was accommodating. The grounds were easy to get around.

We stayed at this resort and it was great! We are a family of 7. (5 children) we had a great time. The resort was clean. Staff were super friendly. The food was wonderful. The rooms were great, good size. The resort is very big but there are shuttles. Lots of activities to participate in. They have places you can hang out if you want peace and quiet. And loud places if you wand fun and activities. This place allows you to vacation the way you want to! It is a lovely place and we can not wait to return. Thanks so much Bahia Principe.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff are very friendly and very helpful, always with a smile. The food was excellent for all meals, with a good variety of everything from meats, veggies, fresh fruit, desserts, ice cream, breads & rolls and huge display of shrimp and cheeses. They supply a tram/trolley service from your room to the front entrance and back, 24/7, with friendly drivers. There were lots of beach chairs available and pool chairs. Bar service was very good and they also served on the beach. We would go back again.

Everything from food ,drinks ,service,room was all good. Older but beautiful resort. Beautiful grounds Very clean and well kept.The beach is long real good at for the most part. .Over all great value for a beautiful resort.This was my 2nd time here and will be looking toward a 3rd. Keep the good work up. you do a fantastic job!!

Great resort! Loved it. I loved the activities here and Darisml from the animation team is the best!!! Loved it. She is super sweet and makes you want to join the games. The shows in the evening were really good too. Overall would recommend if you want to have a good time.

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful area, coconut palm paradise. The personnel are all the best. Very nice and always happy like angels.
The best of the best are of course the guys of the animation team - Juan F and Joel. Everyone of the animation team is a good dancer and a nice person. Thanks a lot for our happy stay and wonderful wedding anniversary at your paradise. We will miss you all guys a whole lot.

I had such an amazing time here, the facility was really nice and very well maintained, the food was nice, but I was the service that puts this resort over the top and exceeded my expectations. The servers in the restaurant were very attentive and we did not have to wait for anything. The bartenders, especially Ramon, Junior and Zunelda were fun energetic and very personable. The staff at the spa were so professional. Thanks for an amazing time Grand Bahia!!!

I've been to other all inclusive resorts and i have worked in the hotel industry for about 3 years (not at all associated with BP). Everything was amazing. The food was great. Loved the mattress. Drinks were great. Hotel staff were all really nice. I will definitely be back with my friends and family, hopefully for longer. I found the best price on their website.

The experience was magnificent. The animation team were delightful especially Darismil, Diony & Daniel. Everyone at the buffet was extremely nice and joked and had fun with me. The activities were tons of fun and they all had a fun twist. Large hotel and beautiful, lots of photo opportunities at the hotel. Overall amazing time and I'm happy that I chose this hotel.

Great experience! Exceeded my expectations. Staff were really friendly and respectful. The food was absolutely delicious. A variety of food to choose from. Lots of activities. Simple activities too such as bike ridding, basketball, kayaking, and snorkeling for free, included as part of the package. The beach was not so nice, but you can take excursions and thee will take you to Playa Grande, and that's definitely a beautiful beach. I would definitely return with my three kids and husband. If you are choosing two rooms because you have young children, make sure you request the adjoining rooms, it makes it easier as supposed to having to go in and out from room to room. Again, it was a beautiful place. There are many beautiful and clean pools which makes up for the not so nice beach. Bring mosquito repellent for night time.
