Great natural park to visit. Really beautiful. The tour is not expensive and is of very high value. Very scenic relaxing walk. Lots of knowledge from the guide. The shop at the end has very high quality crafts from the area and good natural medicine that helped me a lot after! It really did. The crafts are higher quality I think, beautiful, and better prices here. I was lucky as Chris shared local stories and customs after with his personal acting and presentation, in the authentic lodge! How amazing. Unforgettable visit.

My girlfriend and I had a great time here! We learned a lot about medicinal plants of the Amazon and what plants Amazonian communities use for different purposes. Got to try fruit and cinnamon leaf! Very informational and interesting. Definitely worth a visit if you have 1-2 hours to spare in Puyo!

Beautiful adventure in the rainforest. Excellent place to spot unique forest wildlife such as insects. A great place to learn about the indigenous cultures and their medicinal uses of plants as well as wildlife. Plus it's easy to access.

Amazing place! I'm glad I just happened to be walking by. Highly recommended!
Great information to be learned!

I bought 2 tinctures and some honey not to long ago. You mentioned some extra instructions for the tinctures.
The dark one was 3 drops into water before drinking. Anything else?
The light colored one I believe is for hair. Should go on hair overnight and can be washed out in the morning?
Also curious as to the types of bees the honey is from.

$3 for adults. A beautiful botanical garden, though we didn't get a chance to walk much of it. Chris will literally talk to you all day if you want. He or one of his guides will tell you all about the culture/life of the peoples of the Amazon and their ways of using plants in daily life for food and medicinal cures. Definitely an incredible experience/value.

For a $3 donation, you can take the couple hour tour of the grounds and learn a lot about traditional medicinal uses of many rainforest plants. The guide / guy who manages the place speaks at least Spanish, French, and English, if not more. Due to the groups of people who showed up on the busy holiday weekend we were there, our tour was at various parts in each of these three languages. There's also a little shop at the end where you can buy skincare made from the garden's plants.

It's 15 acres land, organized 25 years ago and now it's a forest including all kinds of medicinal plants. You can take the tour inside the forest and learn about all the plants if you're interested. The lady who organized the forest herself is a medicine lady as well. They're as a team sharing their knowledge with the people who are interested. You can also find some artesanals made by indigenous people too.

Our guided tour of this Amazonian ethnobotanical park, done by biologist Chris Canaday, was extraordinary. Whatever else you might experience in the way of nature tours, you would benefit from adding a stop in Puyo to see and hear what is offered here. Chris' knowledge of the medicinal uses of many, many types of plants and trees, learned from his Shuar wife Teresa Shiki, is exceptionally broad and deep. Not to be missed.
