Piripe Wellness Lodge

A serene experience in the rainforest! I spent four nights and was able to enjoy the wonderful birdlife, lush rainforest, some tours including waterfalls and bird feeding, and the refreshing pool and jacuzzi. The meals were delicious and I loved the freshly made fruit juices. I had chosen a package which included the meals and I think this is the best choice if you don't have your own transport to drive to restaurants in the small towns along the road.

The cabin rooms were spacious and clean. The bathroom had a shower with good water pressure and hot water. The verandah was a great place to sit and take in the rainforest views and watch birds and butterflies.

For the walking excursions, the lodge has binoculars to borrow and they gave me a bird list where I marked off the birds we spotted on the trail.

The staff were so helpful. They arranged for my airport/hotel transfers and kindly assisted with getting me a local sim card and installing it.

The only things I would suggest that would improve the experience would be to make the steep footpaths safer. I found it to be slippery going downhill after some rainfall. Secondly, the sliding door to the verandah could be fitted with insect screens so that the door could be left open for fresh air.

Wow - this place will forever be one of the best places I’ve stayed. The service was TOP notch, 5 Diamond. Every single meal was delicious and cooked to perfection, taking into account any aversions we had as a group. This was relaxing but there was still lots to do with the excursions we had. Feeding the hummingbirds was one of the highlights of my life. Andres, our guide, knew so much about the area, the plants, the animals, and shared so much with us. Jose, the owner was incredibly responsive and took such care in setting up a special event for our moms retirement. The whole team got so involved and you could tell was really enjoying it. I want to come back to Ecuador just to stay here again!

The room was fine, with hot water and a well selected collection of soap, shampoo, and conditioner. At lunch, my only gripe was that the beef was overcooked.
A dip in the pool, roasted marshmallows and the evening Jacuzzi were nice amenities. The bird spotting tour was quite pleasant. The swing needs some attention.
There are many wonderful things to taste in Pacto that aren't found anywhere else, without going overboard with something like snake, or armadillo. As a suggestion, a small bowl of local fruit (Salac, etc) in the room would be a welcome addition. There is a local variety of garlic that I've heard has great flavor. We enjoyed our stay very much!

I love it there- we stayed 1 night. Lius is very friendly and accommodating.

A five star experience. Excellent service, food and excursions. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and well attended. The facilities were clean and up to standard. Mattress very comfortable. A great place to REST! We will be returning as it is quite close to Quito.

Amazing experience at the Piripe Wellness Lodge! The people were super friendly, loved all the tours and lovely conversations.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Piripe Lodge! Luis and his staff took amazing care of us. We did the waterfalls tour with Kevin, a trip to Mashpi Reserve (a must-do!), and a trip to Mindo to do the cable cars thorough the cloud forest.
Rafael (chef) prepared great food for us for every meal, even adapting to food restrictions.
Luis truly understands customer service.
The rooms were perfect for us - you can see so many birds just sitting on the porch!

We spent one night here and loved it! Our cabin was comfortable, and the entire resort was very peaceful. We took part in several activities, including the hike to the waterfall, a massage, and using the hot tub. I'd recommend all of them. I was a little apprehensive of jumping into the cold water at the waterfall at first, but it felt terrific, especially after the hour-long hike. We ate lunch, dinner, and breakfast at their restaurant, and every meal was delicious. Wi-Fi was accessible in the common areas, and the signal reached our cabin. It's not very fast, but sufficient to load web pages and watch some videos. The staff who helped us were all very friendly and caring, making our short stay all the more memorable. I would love to come back here and spend more time.

Probably the best treatment we have received in Ecuador! Tranquil, good food (even with dietary restrictions!), super friendly staff, comfortable rooms, amazing poolside, and so many small details that make you want to return. Definitely get a massage and go on the waterfall hike :)

Amazing location. Me and family had the greatest time at piripe lodge. Is surrounded by a breathtaking rainforest, around 1 hour and a half from Quito. The entire place is top, not only the food, but the rooms, the spa, everything. Also the staff is very friendly They accommodate a room for us and our siberian husky, wich was more than enough for us. Definitely we are going back.

We loved Piripe! From the beginning to the end the attention to detail was spot on. The food was amazing. The guided tours where fabulous, all different and great. The mornings were probably my favorite. As soon as I opened my eyes I could see all nature; lush plants, birds starting their day… We never closed our curtains since our lodge was so isolated. The owners really care to give you the best experience possible and we will never forget the time we enjoyed at Piripe. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Our stay at Piripe Wellness Lodge was amazing! The staff was really kind and caring. The food was local and very good. The nature stunning.

What a magic place, if you need to relax this is the place for you. We stayed in room 5 the one with a private outside bathtub. The personal is so quit but not invasive they let you enjoy the place without any rush. I wish we could go back soon.

Lugar muy especial y acogedor, a solo dos horas de quito. El servicio es muy bueno. La atención fue muy buena, realmente muy atentos y se adecuaron para las actividades que podíamos hacer. Tanto para relajarse como para ir a las excursiones. Muy recomendable para conocer un lugar único y con mucha historia! Perfecto para amantes de la naturaleza!

El lugar es hermoso, las habitaciones súper cuidadas, la atención es excelente, la comida muy buena tmb y Martín el perrito es lo más tierno del mundo

Sitio mágico, conectado con la naturaleza, un diseño acogedor para disfrutar de las instalaciones, recomiendo contratar el masaje para relajarse por completo, la comida es muy buena. Por lo menos contratar un paquete de una noche, vale la pena completamente. Perfecto para disfrutar en pareja o familia.

Habitación no cuentan con privacidad en caso de ir 4 personas en una habitación ya que los baños son abiertos. Si es para pareja excelente. El servio del lugar es muy bueno y la comida son muy variadas y deliciosas.
