Overall, my experiences about my visit to Saraguro was exceptional. The staff, Ruth Minga and Lauro Guaillas, were kind, supportive, and attentive to the details of my needs as they came up. I went to the best indigenous owned-operated restaurants and hostel in Saraguro. Furthermore, my itinerary to visit surrounding indigenous communities was comprised of beautiful scenery and very nice indigenous people. As an indigenous person, I am very proud of the indigenous tourism industry that is building in Saraguro. I hope others will visit and utilize the services of Saraurku. It was important for me to support and buy directly from indigenous peoples because there is a growing number of indigenous entrepreneurs who are starting businesses in their home places. Public Service Announcement—please spend your hard-earned money with hardworking indigenous business owners-operators. Additionally, be sure to take proper hiking boots and hiking sticks/poles because part of your itinerary will likely involve hiking-like conditions, be sure to ask.

Yo y mi amiga Eva llegamos a la operadora Saraurko en Saraguro una tarde y nos encontramos con Lauro que justo el dia despues tenia una salida con unos amigos para mostrarle algunos lugares de interes turistico y varias actividades artesanales, nos invitò a ir con ellos.
Fuè maravilloso ver tantos lugares hermosos, conocer a indigenas super amables, abiertos y encantadores con su manera de bromear.
comer comida tipica, sana y rica en dos comunidades distintas y en el restaurante Tupay de Saraguro.
Al final los dias fueron dos con Lauro y sus amigos y conocimos varios lugares y artesanos y hubieramos seguido però Lauro tenia otro grupo.
Lauro supo organizar un trasporte alternativo cuando nos encontrsmos con la ruta serrada por varios derrumbes y fuè una compañia amabile, disponibile y muy competente.
