Tiesto's Cafe Restaurant

Coffee factory owner in Quito recommended this place so this is my must visit in Cuenca. And the tasting menu did not disappoint. Would love to come back to try more menu items.

The Chef Juan Carlos and his crew gave us a great food experience. The locro soup was phenomenal.

One of the most amazing dining experiences I’ve had . The staff was amazing and attentive . They helped us pair the sauces with each dish . We had a semi private room in the back , they lit candles for us and made it such a special experience. This was one of most most memorable experiences in my world travels . Thanks for an amazing evening.

Eating there is an experience, the service is Excellent food, all dishes are cooked in clay pots. The crockery they use is a traditional hand-painted Cuencan ceramic.
Wine prices a bit high. It is necessary to book.

What a great experience! We had one of the tasting menus, and it all was delicious. Our service was great and so friendly. We would like to thank the entire staff again for the amazing food! The chef and sous chef came out to check on all the tables, which was a nice touch. Make time to visit this wonderful place.

Our lunch reservation was ready when we arrived. Courtesy bread and a generous amount of hot and spicy sauces were delivered to our table while we decided on what to order. The tiesto prawns were amazing. Chef Juan Carlos pampered us with extra attention for our third anniversary and took special attention embellishing our dessert. We loved it!

Went the first night and ordered a la carte, we were blown away at the quality of the food, the flavours, the attention to detail and the service provided to all customers. They provided us with a Cab ride back to our residence at no charge (just a tip).

Once our dinner had finished, we decided to immediately make reservations for the next evening. It was just that good.

OH BOY we were in for a treat from the minute the Chef/ Owner sat us in front of him and didn't let us order. He remembered what we had the previous evening and suggested what we should try and drink pairings with our meal.... we took his advice.

Every staff member whether they are working or just coming in for their shift said hello and acknowledged us as they passed, Ive never experienced this in any dining establishment EVER.

We have eaten at many Michelin Star restaurants and other fine dining establishments around the world and this place ranks above them all. The service, the flavours, the pairings and the overall experience is something special It's a hidden gem that needs to be experienced to be appreciated.

$90 USD for all of this? Unthinkable but true.

An incredible meal like nothing I’ve ever experienced! The tasting menu was over the top with very attentive service. Bring your appetite!

We ordered the sea bass in seafood sauce and it was amazing. Mouth watering good! We also ordered a veggie dish to go with it which was really good too! The French fries were super crispy but really tender on the inside and very well seasoned.

They gave us a complimentary assortment of spreads to go with the bread which was really delicious. I think we filled our stomachs up with the bread and sauce.

Despite our lack of Spanish the server was able to communicate to us the various dishes in English and provided us excellent service.

Highly recommended this place!

The best food experience in Cuenca. Spectacular como dijeron nuestro meseros Sebastián and Daniel. El chef Juan Carlos Solano gave us an amazing food ride. We went back twice to have # 1 and #2 gustation menu. If you want to treat yourself with elevated Ecuadorian food , this is the place.

Expensive, sure, but totally worthy if you appreciate good food made with love and passion.

Recommendation: more robust red wine selection with the tasting menu. 😉

The best food we've ever had! It's an experience ! The owner is very friendly and staff are so attentive. Service was great! We loved everything we've tried!

Three of us went to celebrate a birthday, and we had such a lovely evening, even had three waitstaff sing happy birthday to the birthday girl when they brought dessert. The service was amazing, and the food was fabulous. I wish I'd been able to explore more of the restaurant. Photos taken by my friend, since I'd left my phone at home. Looking forward to returning here and trying some of the other menu options.

One of the best dining experiences ever. Great service, great food, very professional. Carlos Aragon's restaurant is one you can not missed. I went alone and was made to feel very special.

We visited Tiesto’s twice on our visit to Cuenca. It is the best restaurant I’ve visited anywhere in the world. The service, atmosphere, and above all the food are exceptional. The head chef is passionate about his work and this passion resonates through all members of staff. The meat is great but I’m really glad we were encouraged to try the tasting menu as this is where the artistry lies. Some of the best dishes I’ve tasted anywhere. If you visit Cuenca I would recommend Tiesto’s far above some of the other higher-end restaurants that are suggested by the hotels. They also do amazing Caipirinha’s.

Another absolute MUST in Cuenca. It's a whole experience eating at Tiesto's. I would suggest letting the server guide you through the whole experience... you will find unique flavours and combinations which you won't if you just order from the menu...

The most amazing service ever! They are super nice and attentive from the moment you enter! The food is amazing and omg the Lomo cooked to ¹/⁴ is to die for!!!! Everything the gentleman attending our table recommend indeed was spot on amazing and to die for! And for dessert make sure to get their local ice cream! It is by far one of the best desserts you can try and you must not leave without trying it! This restaurant is a must for everyone who is visiting Cuenca! One of the best experiences! And the complementary bread with the sauces! Definitely try the chimichurri sauce!

This place is a real experience. When I go to a restaurant now I think, “but it’s not quite tiestos.”. Set a new bar for how delicious food can be. The tasting menu #1 was so good we came back the next night and got the #3. I think the #1 was still better, but both were incredible. The lomo was so good the server cut it with a spoon. The sauce pairings were immaculate, the service prompt and friendly, and took great care of my friend who had many difficult allergies. Will absolutely come back next time I’m in Cuenca, and I’ve raved about it since.

Tonight my husband and I experienced the most delicious meal, the warmest and most generous hospitality, and the best service of our entire lives. We plan to return to Tiesto’s every time we visit Cuenca in the future. It is truly very special. Thank you Chef Juan Carlos Solano for sharing your hospitality and talents so generously, and thank you John, our waiter, for your kind attentive service. We will recommend you to all our friends, and we hope to visit again soon!

This is the restaurant to visit in Cuenca. If you want to try Ecuadorian food I highly recommend this restaurant. The best option is the tasting menu which gives you soup, shrimp, chicken, beef and dessert with some amazing sauces. The sauces really make the meal. The tasting menu also includes red and wine wines plus dessert. It is entirely worth it.

Thos is one of the most incredible restaurants in Cuenca if not the country. The Owner and chef is superb and his staff follow his lead. Freshest of ingredients served in understated Spanish elegance.
