Hosteria Dos Chorreras

I was used to visit that cafe on my every trip with my husband. I miss all that trips. I miss my husband too. I will miss the most beautiful place. Love the fresh bread with jams n butter. Love that cafe ever.

It is half an hour from Cuenca and it is a very splendid place that shines by itself, the weather is cold for which you have to cover yourself with a coat but it is one of the best experiences that I have been able to try during my trip to Hostería Dos Chorreras.

Our daughter and son in law stayed there for 2 nights for their wedding night. They had the suite with the fireplace and 2 person jacuzzi tub. They said the room also had radiant heated floors and was toasty warm the entire time. They gave them a bottle of champagne as a gift. The room was clean and had small toiletries also. Nice robes were also provided. They took a horse back riding stroll on the ground as well. The chef was able to accommodate our daughter for her meals with her having numerous food allergies and that was very impressive. The website was not working to book the suite and could only be booked on WhatsApp and with a deposit over the phone. Hopefully that will be fixed soon. The experience was just perfect for them and would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a very special night away outside of Cuenca surrounded by the beautiful Cajas Mountains.

We went on the El Cajas tour, the views are stunning. Sure recommend everyone visits the City of Cuenca, do the El Cajas tour and visit the hosteria Dos Chorreras. The meals there were delicious and the service was excellent.

Extremelly clean, a key during this time. Overall the whole place is beautiful. With a small fee you can enjoy extra activities for the whole family. Food is fantastic. At night do not forget and enjoy a cup of rich, warm hot chocolate.

This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places I have visited in my life, inside there is the most beautiful chocolate shop. the prices are accessible and the attention of another level.Really highly recommended if you are passing through the basin, you cannot miss this place, it is truly spectacular!

Totally absolutely fantastic spot in Ecuador. Driving through the national Park was amazing, and finding this Oasis on the other side was equally amazing. It's not just a restaurant, but a whole cluster of super cute little buildings that include multiple restaurants a chocolate shop with churros and coffee, Hotel, cabins, and just beautiful grounds to walk around and see the scenery including the river running through and the trout ponds.

So much chocolate, what else would anyone want. The chocolate was really nice also, good quality, and quantity.

This place is so beautiful, almost like a paradise. The mountains, the clean water, the fresh air and of course, the old wood and stone structures makes this a really special place high in the mountains and the Cajas National Park. We enjoyed the time with friend from different countries, listen to live traditional music and tried the famous trout, a fish known locally for being delicious in this area. There you can also try cheeses, jams and coffee. Once again, pictures, the scenery is something to remember.

We had amazing food after a 3 hour hike at the cajas national Park. Empanadas are always a must. If you like to try trout, this is a nice place to have it. You will certainly enjoy the views from this restaurant.

Oh man, what an amazing place to stop by for breakfast and lunch. Cabin style facade with great food and accommodations. This place makes their own coffe and and chocolate. Make sure to check out the dessert and hot chocolate cabin on your way out.

Brilliant, amazing, don't miss it. Wow. Best meal I had in all of the province. Beautiful, breathtaking property. I was passing through in 2014, and wish to return again to stay a night or two.

This is a must stop on your way to Cuenca. Excellent food, the service is great and the views are incredible. It's totally well worth it.

If you miss this, it's unforgivable! This hostel is quite spectacular. The best meals you'll have on route to Cuenca. Take a nice deep breath in this elegant and cozy hostel with a beautiful restaurant. Has a magnific fireplace, beautiul decoration, delicious food and a outstanding scenery. Very much recommended indeed!

The place is amazing. Such antique look within nature is just a breath taking experience. The restaurant is also very good.

A beautiful location, incredible architecture, excellent food (get the trout for sure) and reasonable prices. Also check out the gift shop - products are excellent quality and reasonable.

The best place for trout. Ample menu, good service, parking, great views. And their own trout fishery. A jewel in the mountains!
