Hostel Rutamar

This hostel is absolutely amazing!!!!
Upon arriving a the hostel, I was introduced to the owner and his family and felt welcome right away.
The rooms are clean and breakfast is great.

Highly recommend !!!!

Amazing place!! Rooms and hostel were very clean! We should have stayed more nights! Attention and care was taken when 2 kiddos age 12 took surf lessons. I would highly recommend staying here!! The owners and staff were very welcoming. Felt like a home away from home.

Enjoyed staying at this hostel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Managed to get a dorm room with ensuite on my own for three nights. Quite and peaceful place with a view of the beach and town from the roof.

Great stay! Fantastic service and rich coffee. Our room was spacious, comfortable bed and great breeze off the ocean as we were on the 3rd floor. Hot water in the shower, not a suicide(electric) shower!
Liked it so much we stayed an extra night.

In 2016 I was visiting Canoa when the earthquake hit. The hostel I was staying in with my friends was damaged badly and then locked for the night, leaving us stranded. Some other friends of ours were staying here at Hostel Rutamar and the owners kindly allowed us to stay in their courtyard and in the rooms for no charge while we tried to figure out transportation back to Quito the next day. We were terrified and I will never forget the kindness of the owners. I would absolutely visit again if I found myself in Canoa.

Canoa is a quaint town with hippie roots. We enjoyed our stay at the Hostal Rutamar where we could walk to the beach and restaurants. The owners were kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and cute. The outdoor space was relaxing and pleasing. We will return.

Great owners, very welcoming and kind and supercool location. Highly recomended.

Great place to relax!

Un lugar acojedor y muy linpio, además es tranquilo, fresco y esta a dos cuadras de la playa, los restaurantes están cerca del alojamiento, los dueños son bien atentos y amables. Viví unas bonitas vacaciones y de paso económico el alojamiento.

El mejor hostal donde fuimos en Equator ! El lugar es muy lindo, cerca del mar y las personas muy sympaticas ! Y es possible de rentar tablas de surf

Wunderschön gestaltetes und sauberes Hostel sehr nah am Strand mit Gemeinschafküche. Das freundliche Personal hilft einem bei jeder Frage weiter.

Un hotel lo más de bonito, limpio, cómodo y tranquilo. La atención es excelente y el precio absolutamente razonable.

Endroit au top, à 5 minutes de la plage, les chambres sont très confortables. La structure de l'établissement tout en bois à un certain charme.

Muy bonito.. Excelente atención.. A dos cuadras de la playa. Tiene jacuzzi de hidromasaje. Todo el hotel esta hecho de madera y Bambú.

El lugar muy lindo, con habitaciones comodas y una cocina con todos los instrumentos para cocinar tu comida. Se ofrece renta de bicicletas y tablas de surf.

Muy lindo lugar, muy amable dueños, se puede venir con mascotas.
