🍲 Today we walked 1.5 kilometer to another one of Cuenca, Ecuador’s highest rated 100% Vegan Restaurants @ “ @fratellovegan “. Lunch was very nice because it’s all outdoor seating and it was raining but we were covered overhead and got to enjoy both the sound of the rain + the river right next to us. For beverages we had local grown Hot Chocolate & Kefir for the beneficial pro-biotics. Appetizers were 1) a version of Ceviche with oyster mushrooms & avocados and 2) another somewhat similar variation of that but tomatoe based. Both were served with plantain chips. Our entree was a plantain salad + French fries with Padano Sauce and (not pictured here) Ecuadorian style potatoes. Dessert was chocolate iced carrot cake with vanilla ice cream. We paid $24 total for the meal. Muy bueno delicioso me gusta mucho! They serve many vegan meat dishes, pizzas, and tons of other junk foods. We’re loving eating more Ecuadorian inspired dishes. We’d happily return here!

One of the best vegan desserts ever ! Carrot cake (sugar free) with delicious plant based ice cream! Delizioso 🤤! Highly recommend, also because they are PET FRIENDLY! So rare in the Latin America ❤

Best vegan food I have had in Cuenca. All of it was delicious. Great atmosphere right in the river. Beautiful view, great service and a lot of food options. Definitely try it out.

Food was so delicious!! This is my new # 1 place to be, cozy and the scenic view is beautiful, so close to the river Tomebamba.

Food, drinks and service are so good we come back almost weekly. One of the few places in Cuenca that has a kid's menu too! They update their menu yearly and have recently added a bunch of traditional Ecuadorian foods. Their chocolate especiado is the best hot chocolate in Cuenca.

Would really recommend- close enough to the center but nice and quite at the same time. Nice view of the river.

The food itself was great. Nice healthy yet tasty pizza. Carrot cake for desert was- great for vegans 👌👌

The place to go in Cuenca for Vegans and Vegetarians! So many amazing dishes on the menu. The staff was nice and the food came very quick. They also brew their own craft beer, which tastes quite good! I will definitely come back!!

Excellent food. Very pretty location on the river. Pet friendly! I had an amazing gourmet vegetarian burger and fries. Very impressed. Will be back!

Our favorite food experience in Ecuador to date. Delicious and fresh homemade vegan food that even a non vegan would rave about. They have smoothies/thick shakes, waffles, hand cut hot chips, schnitzel, burgers and much more.
Beautiful location right on the river and friendly service. Can't wait to come back!

We have already gone twice in the past three days during our ten day stay in Cuenca, we want to try everything on the menu. The food is so fresh, the waitress literally went into the garden in the sitting area to pick out ingredients for our meal. Here are the can't miss items we have tried so far: falafel, shawarma, alitas, and the brownie. The waitress (and owner) was so passionate about vegan food and kind, really made it such a pleasant experience. Highly recommend!

So happy to find this place. It opened a bit later than advertised... But so worth it! Seeing that we had just come out if the rain, the waiter promptly lit the fireplace beside us. The menu has so many amazing vegan delights. Started with the bbq wings, then I had the Mac n cheese and my friend had the "chicken" smothered in a mushroom and pepper sauce. 2 for 1 mojitos! To finish some incredible cinnamon buns. Can't wait to go back and try more!

Gorgeous setting. Amazing food. Good portions and super tasty. Came back twice in one day because its so good! Get the brownie w ice cream.. you will not regret it 😉

Very nice vegan food with river views. The chef picked some fresh greens for us from the garden. Would love to come back here.

Chili dish was delicious with nice amount of lime in the guacamole. Don’t miss the brownie! It was creamy and smooth. It comes with vegan ice cream. I got the cappacino. Very nice and light.

This place had it all from food, atmosphere, and location. Definitely recommend even if your not vegan.
