The best cafe in Põltsamaa by far! We were surprised by the quality of food as we’d seen other places in Põltsamaa before and our expectations were not so high for obvious reasons 😀 Very friendly waitress, our child also adored her. The place was clean and the music wasn’t too loud. Dog friendly! (Well behaved dogs of course). Oh, the portions are huge! 😀 Only minus we found was no serious vegan options, only fries. Nowadays it’s so easy - just keep a pack or two Beyond burgers etc in the freezer, fry it up when a vegan comes and serve with regular fries/potatoes and salad. Based on what we see on stores, there are plenty of vegans in Põltsamaa and Beyond and other similar alternatives are so good that many non-vegans eat those too :) and they store for months in freezer.

The energy in Rivaal feels good. The food smells good. Rivaal looks beautiful in the summer. There are many flowers outside and the river is flowing by. (Review by 4a students from Põltsamaa school)

Ei oska rääkida miskit tubadest. Sattusin Põltsamaale tööasjus ja söögikohaks valin alati KOHVIK Rivaali. Mulle meeldivad selle kohviku teenindajad ja ka teenindus. Koht on hubane ja kena. Sellel korral tellisin kooreklopsi. See toit oli nii maitsev (aitäh kokale) kõht sai täis aga maitsepärast oleks söönud veel. Loomaliha oli väga hästi hautatud, mitte nagu mõnes kohas kuiv ja tuim. 5 punktist 5.

Oli Põltsamaal koht, kuhu rahulikult einestama tulla.

Väga hea asukoht, kena interjöör, meeldiv teenindus, maitsvad road, sõbralik õhkkond, hinnad väga ok!

Olen ise gluteeni talumatu ning isegi suuremates Eestimaa linnades on raske leida restorani või kohvikut, kus pakutaks maitsvat gluteeni vaba toitu. Tihti pakutakse mulle vaid salateid või friikartuleid. Seetõttu käin ma suht harva väljas söömas. Kuid Rivaal kohvikus sõime väga maitsvat, gluteenivaba, tervislikku ja kaunilt serveeritud rikkalikku toitu. Elaks ma Põltsamaal, siis käiks seal tihti söömas. Kahju, et sellist kohta Pärnus pole. Hinnad on seal väga mõistlikud. Mõned toidud on lausa super odavad. Väga soovitan kõikidele seda väikest, hubast ja head kohvikut.
