This hotels service and attention to its patrons is EXCEPTIONAL 10/10

We had an issue with our room when we first arrived and when we informed the front desk they instantly change our rooms and helped us get a better room. We also went to the restaurant and the manager was extremely nice, they offered us a few complimentary items and really made us feel as if we were the most important guests they had! Would absolutely visit this hotel again and highly recommend it to anyone staying in Aswan.

Value for money, matching expectations.
There are not so many mid-range options you and choose from in Aswan. Basma Hotel is a fair enough option when you are looking for something not needing a boat transfer.

The hotel has been there for a while so rooms are expected to be dated, and to our surprise, our room is nice and clean, air-conditioning functioning alright, spacious as well.

Front desk staff Miriam (sorry if I type your name wrong) is efficient and friendly.

A big plus is the shopping centre they have at the hotel. If you need stamps, they have it! And the shop keeper is helpful. (Even the shop in Sofitel does not sell stamps)

We are still at the hotel and hopefully our positive experience continues. :)

A very historical & charming facility! Nestled in the heart of Aswan and right next to the Nubian Museum, I was treated very well by its staff, especially the guest relations manager, Remah! She made certain my travel group needed anything to make their stay more pleasant. The awesome view of the city from each room won't disappoint you. What makes a great hotel is to manage a great team of people to serve its clients. The folks at Basma Hotel certainly went beyond their call of duty for my group.

Best hotel we stayed at in Egypt. The pool is amazing. The evening pool manager was so sweet and gave me a complementary cake for my birthday. The hotel is very unique and has great views. Lots of options for breakfast.

This is my favourite hotel in egypt. The hotel offers nice breakfast and helped us to wrap the breakfast at 4:00am (in a very convenient way). It’s safe, clean on fee charge. The restaurant there is also good with nice taste (I don’t like the buffet but I like the direct order)

Honestly was quite worried given the lacklustre reviews but the hotel was well above my expectations.

The restaurant was surprisingly good, we enjoyed the calamari, grilled fish and soup. Go for the ala carte as the food will be hot. Water at the hotel are also reasonably priced through alcohol is bit expensive. Overall a decent experience for me with the location quite close to city centre.

Perfect setting, friendly staff, a fantast pool, and the most amazing views of Aswan. It is a real treat to enjoy and relax in such surroundings. Highly recommend

We have had the best service at this hotel, all the staff have been really helpful and assisted us in finding drivers and even the address of the cruise which we were struggling to find. Really highly recommend this hotel.

I found this hotel to be quite nice. We only stayed one night but our experience was quite good. We had the lunch buffet. The food was tasty. The beds were comfortable and the staff friendly. My only complaint would be that the floors felt a little dirty like they needed to be cleaned better. But everything else seemed fine. It has a beautiful large pool (however we did not use it due to time constraints) I would stay here again.

We had a suite on the upper floor and the view from the room was spectacular. It has its own pool and breakfast room. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
The pool was lovely and cool in the hot sun, there were always plenty of clean towels and the loungers were really comfortable but most of the parasols were broken in some way which was a shame.
One tip though, make it clear to your driver that you want to go to the executive club at the top and not the main reception. If they drop you at the entrance with the bag scanners you need to get back in the car and make them go to the top entrance - or you'll be carrying your suitcases up 4 flights of stairs.
Tips:
There are some shops on the site where you can buy souvenirs.
Most tours etc will want to pick you up from the main reception at the bottom.
The restaurant is in the main site, which is down the stairs, as is the big pool. We didn't mind the stairs, it was a good trade for the quiet.

We enjoyed everything at this hotel. Front desk was amazing in taking care of is. Brought us juice and water since we arrived before check-in time. They cleaned fast our room to have it ready earlier for us, at no extra cost.
Room was very clean, very large (a bedroom, living room, 2 bathrooms!). Breakfast was very good too! Lots of choices from bread and croissant, meat and cheese, juices and coffee, omelet on-demand. The view of the Nile and Aswan is also amazing from there. I would recommand 100% staying at this hotel. Thank you so much for this great service!

The Basma hotel was quite nice. Each hotel has a balcony with a decent view of the town of Aswan from the higher rooms. It is up on a hill which secludes it a bit from the town, but aside from a few waterfront resorts, you aren’t missing much in the town. All meals are buffet style. The wifi was also fairly decent in the rooms, with only occasional spotty coverage.

Great hotel for intermediate pricing and easy access to the cruise ports and popular sites.

I'm satisfied with my staying in this hotel.
Room was clean, with balcony and nice view.
Food for the breakfast was good. I also was able to take boxes in the restaurant to take snacks with me.
The house keeper made us laugh cause he left a funny surprise on the bed. 😂

Nana gave me an amazing Thai massage and reflexology session. I have had a lot of massages and have regular Thai massages in London so I am used to a high standard. I was pleasantly surprised how she blended Thai massage, shiatsu, reflexology and dietary advice in a unique bespoke way that felt so good and just what I needed. Loved chatting to her too and joked I have to take her to London.
