Aswan Old Souks

From the Old Souk all the way to the end of New Souk, it's about 2km. A vibrant and colourful souk when even locals do their shopping here.

Managed to buy some strawberries and figs which are very reasonably priced at 40EGP per kg for both the fruits at the Old Souk. Aswan dates which are of higher quality is only at 300EGP per kg.

Quite a number of good Egyptian restaurants nearby too. Falafel from a stall along the souk at 5EGP only each.

Fairly clean and well kept market with a good mix of touristy shops and local shops like butchers, bakers, spice shops and pharmacies. People hassle you less that advertised. Quiet at 9am and 25% open. Mostly open and busier at 11am. Worth a visit and easily accessible from ships.

A very excellent place and has everything at reasonable prices

Our tour guide calls it Spice Market . It's safe to walk around and explore, find some souvenirs, some local food and fruits also. Cruise ships are nearby, usually takes only 10-15 minutes to get there, only thing is that watching out for traffic since there's no traffic lights on streets.

Usually you get scammed in Egypt souqs or markets ,
That's why I was hesitant about going to souqs or markets in Egypt, But Aswan markets or souqs are very nice people and not pushy not scammy most of them are fantastic

Easy flat walk in the shade for tourist mementos as well as practical stuff. Quite a few pharmacies where you can buy antibiotics over the counter fyi. Fresh juices are great -try the sugar cane if you haven't already. And grab a falafel pocket if you see a street vendor or walk to the Falafel place (search on Google maps) that is just behind the main street near the cruise ships. Look for KFC (urrgghhhh I can't believe there's one of these here) and it's within a few mins walk l across the road and behind.

Great market located in Aswan. Much less vendor hassle than any other market I visited in Egypt. Grabbed some bargains here since had more time to look and think before beginning the negotiations.

A nice walk through but not as many tourists means a lot of desperate Egyptians trying to sell the same stuff

I recommend you buy peanut 🥜 and fresh roselle it's so good and has a different taste. 🌺

The Old Souk of Aswan is really nice and full of local products such as herbs and spices. In general it he quality is decent. You may need to negotiate the prices in order to get a better deal. Locals are nice and their costumes are genuine. The weather in summer really hot so it is better if you do the tour in evening. The souq is one long street, so you don't have to walk in circles. If you're in Aswan, it is a place must to visit.

Great place with great cultural diversity and the biggest cabbages in the world

Aswan Old Souk is very big, you cam walk there for almost an hour and it is heading straight to the Train Station, which is nice. There are plenty of shops, selling Egyptians spices, clothes, gifts and souvenirs, and many more. Prices are absolutely negotiable, try to ;)
But I recommend to spend some time there enjoying the local culture.
