This was a very lovely museum, I really enjoyed visiting it. It’s very unique and has a very nice collection of crocodile mummies. The collection is very well preserved and displayed, the layout of the museum is very nice, they have other artifacts and works of art on display as well. I would definitely recommend checking out this museum.

The Crocodile Museum in Kom Ombo contains a collection of mummified crocodiles and some artifacts The Crocodile Museum is located in front of the Kom Ombo Temple, which was dedicated to the worship of the god Su Bek, who takes the form of a crocodile. The museum displays a number of aspects of the worship of Su Bek and the related mummification of crocodiles and other rituals. The museum includes a model of a crocodile cemetery, a large number of crocodile mummies of different ages and lengths, in addition to coffins used to contain the mummies of this sacred animal, and paintings depicting the offering of sacrifices to Sobek.

Great museum explaning why this site was dedicated to the god crocodile. Worth a visit.

Can be reach by train (train ticket cost 20 usd by either Luxor or Aswan) or by small 9 places bus from the bus stations (bus ticket 1 usd by either Luxor or Aswan).

Its j interesting to see the crocodiles mummified and referenced to crocodiles. These were used to protect from evil and that tradition is still on in some villages.

A nice little museum connected to the Kom Ombo Temple. This museum's tickets were included with the Temples.

History of the crocodiles that used to live within the temple as well as the wild crocodiles from the Nile.

It was a bit crowded and is situated right outside the Kom Ombo temple and is free to visit.

You can see a lot of mummified crocodiles and the history about it.

Adjacent to the Kom Ombu temple is the famous and quite unique Crocodile Museum.
As you walk into the doors, you'll hear gasps of awe from fellow tourists! I was quite shocked myself as turning the corner I came across a line of crocodiles facing me!
There are 22 mummified crocodiles arranged on a sandy slope inside a huge glass case.
There is also a collection of coffins and mummified crocodiles in their wood sarcophagi. Some eggs are also on display here.
There are also a collection of wooden and granite crocodile statues and items of mummification.
This museum is definitely a must see.

Being one of a kind, this museum is dedicated exclusively to crocodiles. This museum is located at the doorstep of of the Ptolemaic Kom Ombo temple.A collection of crocodile coffins and wooden sarcophagi, along with crocodile eggs are on display. Sobek mummification processes are also illustrated along with the funerary ceremony and burial. I highly recommend this place.

It’s located on the door stop of KOM OMBO temple, The museum displays 22 mummified crocodiles of various sizes out of forty to have been unearthed in Aswan. The crocodiles are arrayed on a sand hill inside a large glass showcase, allowing visitors to see how crocodiles passed their days in ancient Egypt.

Crocodile Museum. It's well worth a visit for its beautiful collection of mummified crocodiles and ancient carvings, which is well lit and well explained. The museum is also dark and air-conditioned.
