Gold Ibis Hotel

Beautiful family hotel with an amazing atmosphere. Great location close to all important monuments, the Valley of the Kings, Karnak and Luxor Temple. The owner and staff will arrange transportation from the airport, any trip according to your wishes, and anything you will need during your stay. Excellent hotel location close to the stores and restaurants, clean rooms, swimming pool, and an unforgettable view from the terrace. Breakfast and dinner are also very good. Next time in Luxor, we will stay at the Golden Ibis hotel again.

Great place, very clean, comfy rooms, host always available and really friendly (we had a minor inconvenience with the AC and he immediately switch us to another room). He also proposed to help us organize our tours of the area.

We were a family of five and had three rooms at Gold Ibis. We were made very welcome from the start - the room was spotlessly keen and the beds had been beautifully prepared. We were on the top floor which had good views, especially from the back over green plantations. The beds were very comfortable and a good size. The roof terrace is fabulous, with views of the Nile and the across the city towards the Valley of the Kings. Breakfast was traditional which might not be everyone's favourite but we loved it. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean.
The hotel arranged a transfer from the airport which was in a modern bus with a safe driver.
We were able to walk from the hotel to the riverside where there are places to eat and drink. We hired a car and driver to get us around the West Bank sites which was easy enough and good value.
A ferry to the East bank is close by and very cheap or you can hire a boat cheaply too. Our only criticism would be that you have to ring the bell to get in at night which means the proprieter has to stay up if you are late back. I would highly recommend Gold Ibis for a stay in Luxor.

We boooked the hotel in May 2022. It’s location is good and it’s just walkable distance to public ferry and 15 for the valley of kings and queens. From terrace we can see nice night View. It’s first time Luxor for us they picked up us first time and staff members are polite and it’s secure. Breakfast is good too.

Breakfast is very good. You can ask for some fruit, milk or anything and they are happy to help you. The rooms are clean, quiet (not much noice from prayings) and bed is big enough. The only minor issue is when you take a shower the bathroom gets wet because there are no curtains. Price-quality this is a very good hotel (16 euro's per day)

Really nice rooms, attentive service. Great location right near the Nile River water taxis that take you to downtown Luxor and the ancient Luxor Temple within 5mins. The hotel employees speak english well and will help you with anything you need. They go above and beyond for their guests. The rooms are spotless, nice pool, chill rooftop lounge with a view of the Nile...This place deserves 5 star

A friend and I spent 4 days in this hotel last january. We were amazed with the hospitality, the beautiful view from the terrace, the comfy bed and the spacious room. The showers were great too and their breakfeast is delicious and the best we have had in egypt. Everybody is friendly, speaks good english and are willing to help you with anything. Moreover, staying on the other side of the city means there is less hustle and bustle and you will actually have a relaxed holiday feeling. Thanks for everything habibis!

Wonderful owner and staff bending over backward to make sure one has a memorable stay. The owner helped me to see what I needed to see in Luxor. The room is huge with a queen size bed. You can see wonderful sunsets up on the rooftop dining area. I had two delicious dinners staying three nights. The portions are huge! Was served traditional Egyptian food for breakfasts. Enjoyed sitting outside by the bon fire at night (bring marshmallows). January is a good time to visit. Not hot! Also it is in a quiet location away from traffic noise.

Very lovely place, kind staff which help with everything, they can organize trips, program or give recommendations, ownr has good experience, very well cleaned, amazing views from the roof. Sure I'll be back.

룩소르 서안의 조용하고 깨끗한 호스텔로 3일 동안 편안하게 지낼 수 있었다. 골목 안이라 찾기는 쉽지 않았지만 루프탑에서 바라 본 경치는 아주 좋았습니다. 친절한 호스트의 환대 속에서 잘 있었습니다. 저렴하고 가성비가 좋으며 가까운 곳에 여러개의 맛있는 강변뷰의 카페겸 식당들이 많이 있습니다.

Hôtel spacieux, propre et lumineux. Toit terrasse avec vue imprenable sur Louxor et le désert. Magnifique de jour comme de nuit.
Le petit déjeuner est très bon et copieux !
A proximité du Nil, vous pouvez le traverser en bateau et vous retrouver dans la ville en 10min.
Je recommande les yeux fermés cet hôtel aussi bien pour son rapport qualité/prix que pour son accueil que je n'avais jamais vécu avant !

Totalmente recomendable, al lado del Nilo, cogiendo una embarcación en dos minutos estás en el Templo de Luxor, o Karnake, cuenta con varios restaurantes y tiendas por los alrededores, de fácil acceso para aparcar, y al no estar en primera línea del Nilo, no hay ningún ruido, por lo que el descanso está asegurado. Las habitaciones no tienen nada que envidiarle a un hotel europeo, son grandes con cama muy cómoda, y baño privado que cuenta con plato de ducha, importante en Egipto ya que en otros hoteles que nos hemos quedado carecían de la misma, además tiene nevera, aire acondicionado y ventilador..en resumen MUY TOP!! Destacar el riquísimo desayuno y la amabilidad del dueño del hotel que siempre está disponible y dispuesto a ayudar, al cual aprovechamos para saludar cuando lea este comentario.

Super séjour au Gold Ibis avec Altayeb et son frère Mahmoud. Cet hôtel est placé du bon côté du Nil, pratique pour les visites de la vallée des rois, des reines, le temple de Hatshepsut… Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans cet hôtel au bon rapport qualité prix. Venez sans hésiter pour leur hospitalité !
Le rooftop est top avec une vue magnifique 🤩 d’un côté le Nil et la ville de louxor, de l’autre les montagnes !

Le petit déjeuner et les repas proposés sont délicieux et copieux. Un grand merci à Ahmed le cuisto !

Pour info, Altayeb nous a aidé à organiser nos journées.
Nous garderons un super souvenir de ces moments conviviaux passés ensemble. Nous reviendrons très vite ! ♥

Precio económico. Buen desayuno. Limpieza y atención respetuosa de sus empleados. Queda del lado Oeste. Crucen el Nilo y caminen (no es lejos)

Merveilleux endroit, propre, rapport qualité prix indiscutable. J'y suis en ce moment, Mahmoud et Mohamed se coupent en quatre pour accéder à tous nos désirs. Petit déjeuner égyptien savoureux et en quantité car ils ont une ferme et tous les produits viennent quotidiennement de chez eux et sont totalement bio.
