Nestled along the serene banks of the Nile, the welcoming boat in Aswan proved to be a hidden gem.

From the moment I stepped in, the warm hospitality enveloped me. The staff's genuine smiles and attentive service created an inviting atmosphere. The rooms were tastefully adorned, offering both comfort and a glimpse into local aesthetics.

Mornings began with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a view of the sun-kissed river.

The boat charm extended beyond its physical beauty, resonating with the genuine friendliness that defines memorable hospitality. An boat of tranquility in a beautiful island in the heart of Aswan.

Anakob houseboat is amazing—mostly because of the people and service (more on that in a moment). But a few things first. Location—how often can you stay in a cozy modern houseboat on the Nile River? Everything is spotless and beautifully cared for. It was a bit cold here in December so I didn’t get to enjoy the deck too much but they are great nevertheless. I had the room with the little balcony which provided additional light with the full length glass door. I also spent time with my friend who was at the Mango Guesthouse (same owner as the Anakob) and ordered food from their menu which was limited but incredibly fresh, tasty and a great value. The service is where things really shine. The staff walked me back and forth between Anakob and Mango House, provided tea in the morning, a boxed breakfast when we had to leave early, and were super friendly, always sharing their Nubian culture with us. But..:on my date of departure I left all of my bathroom items in the drawer and noted that when I got to my Nike cruise boat. Tamer, Anakob’s owner, arranged for his team to boat over followed by a taxi with their amazing preferred driver Ahmed Samir, and brought me my items and didn’t charge me. Of course I ignored him and paid both of these gentlemen anyway. This is way way above and beyond. Owner Tamer arranged all of my pick up and drop off, and drive to Abu Simbel with Swiss watch precision and rapidly responded to WhatsApp inquiries so I was never unsure of even complicated proceses related to the trip. I am so glad my husband and I stayed here! They showed incredible integrity and care, and are just good people. These are establishments that should get business and I hope they do well.

My last visit to Aswan was in 1992. Staying on the boathouse evoked the quiet relaxed vibe that i associated with Aswan. Tamer organised a driver to meet my mother and i off the train. The boat trip to the houseboat in the dark was magical. We spent four magical nights on the boat. The team on the boat , led by Mahmoud were so kind and helpful to my mother who is 78 and has dementia. Mahmoud helped set up a felucca trip, visits to Philae and Kitcheners Islsnd. I would highly recommend a stay on this boat and I suspect memories of staying here will sustain me through a UK winter. Ahmed the driver took us back to Luxor by car so we could visit Kom Ombo. This was a lovely wee temple to visit. I’m glad I booked the private car, Ahmed was so kind to my mum. While on the boat I had some work to do, the wifi was super and the view really helped me think. Huge thanks to all for making this a wonderful stay.

Anakob is a lovely 4 bed room houseboat nestled on the quieter side of Elephantine island in Aswan. The rooms are well equipped and modern with air conditioning and windows providing nice views and natural light. Upper deck has the kitchen and living area that is nice to sit down and have a nice meal. Good can be ordered from the menu and takes about an hour to be prepared and delivered from a restaurant on the island. The open part of the FF deck and the top deck are great places to sit and enjoy panoramic views of the Nile sipping your fav beverage. The staff is very polite and helpful.

The place is located on an small island of Nile river ,away from all the noise all of the city ,also if you want to go to aswan it’s just 15min by boat meanwhile you can enjoy amazing river view weather in the day or night it’s absolutely stunning,the room is fully equipped with all the necessary things beautiful and clean ,the all the stuff is so kind and nice ,the owner show us his little village and take us to this local restaurant,the food was too much for us to finish ,don’t get me wrong ,it was delicious but it was just too much food us and it was only 490 Egyptian pounds ,the view of the hotel is just absolute stunning and calm ,def come back from for this place

Excellent experience from the booking to the stay. Tamer made the whole process super easy and worry less. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s just wonderful to arrive cruising on the Nile and discover this peaceful/ blissful place. I couldn’t help myself to do some yoga on the deck of my room after spending a whole night on the train from Cairo. It was magical! The boat is newly renovated, comfortable with all what you need. I like the fact that it is intimate and that you can feel like at home. You can use the kitchen, cook, take an apéro on the roof deck. I liked the interior design style as well. Mix between local art and modernity. I am very glad to have discovered this place. Definitely recommend !!!

Had an amazing stay in Aswan on the Anakob. Short walk to the ferry that will take you off the island into town which is a 5min boat ride. The island itself has a museum and some really nice ruins to check out. The boat manager Wael made sure there was always someone available to take you around the nile to other islands/sites. Overall great experience!

This is a great little hotel. It is located on peaceful Elephantine Island away from the hassle of downtown Aswan.

The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. The houseboat has a lovely top deck where you can sit and watch the comings and goings of the Nile.

The staff are friendly and Tamer is extremely helpful.

Overall, the amazing location and pleasant rooms make this a great place to stay in Aswan.

What an amazing place and incredible experience!! I felt right at home once I arrived at Anakob. The staff was very hospitable and friendly, the boat was just perfect with a lot comfortable seating areas indoor and outdoor! And THAT VIEW of the nile at sunset and sunrise cannot be described!!

I strongly recommend this place and will definitely stay there again!

Heavenly place, no enough words to express my feelings, breakfast is perfect, outstanding food, tasty, and quality and presentation are beyond perfect, staff are so nice, welcoming and helpful, great service with beautiful smile. Since me and my kids arrived and everything was super, the cleanliness and how Cozy and nice the place was. It’s in the middle of everything and the view is amazing . People working there are super nice and very helpful specially Ibrahim the boat guy he is the best we met in Aswan . Also the owner Tamer is such a nice guy and very helpful and is always welcoming any ideas to help more the guests to enjoy . Definitely will visit again soon .

If you are looking for a memorable, unique and luxurious experience in Aswan... THIS IS IT!!!! You will regret it if you don't book this place. This was truly a luxury experience! The service was absolutely amazing. Tamer left no detail undone. He welcomed us on a private motorboat that brought us from the mainland to the boathouse at 1am when our train arrived. He planned an entire 2 day itinerary for us that included the most beautiful Feluca ride and a trip to the Nubian Village with authentic dinner recommendations. On the second day, he arranged for us to have a very nice/modern private car + driver to bring us to Abu Simbel and back. The hospitality at Anakob is unmatched. This is a boutique luxury boathouse. It is immaculately clean, the bed is so comfortable, the shower is nice and hot, breakfast on the deck watching the felucas ride by on the Nile is one of the most breathtaking views I have ever experienced. I cannot believe I found this place.

It was a great experience to spend a night in anakob, staff are amazingly kind and helpful, beds are very comfortable and shower has enough hot water ! The view is wonderful especially at night when you can enjoy the serenity and the beauty of the NILE. The manager is very reponsive especially when we forgot our camera in the room, he did all his best to help us! I highly recommend anakob!
Just keep in mind that you need 50 EGP for one way to reach the city center and that is not included in the price of the accommodation (only the first trip is)

Such a great experience!...we enjoyed our stay so so much...Tamer and Islam are so friendly, decent and helpful.The place is perfectly located in aswan. It is even more impressive than it shows in pictures. Super clean, super friendly staff. Anything you ask for is available and at anytime!. You will definitely feel home. We will,no doubt, stay here next time!

Tamer and Islam the owners/managers of the Anakob are kind and attentive. The boat is well looked after and has a pleasing modern style. Pricing is very reasonable.
