Casa Valle de Oro

We visited Joost and Tatienne’s wonderfull place during our 700 kilometer hike around Andalusia. They were the perfect hosts warm, welcoming and interested in us as their guests. We stayed in one of the yurts and had the pleasure of dining there twice. The food both dinner and breakfast was amazing and cooked by Etienne and Joost to perfection. If you stay there you should definitely eat there as well. As part of our hike we needed transportation to and from some of our routes and they helped organize that and drice us themselves as well.
We give them our best recommendations. If you are going to Andalusia make sure to also stay at Casa Valle de Oro.

This was my second time staying at the yurts and now it has become one of my favorite places in Spain! My boyfriend and I came to the valley about 3 years ago for his 30th birthday and then again this year for my birthday. Aside from Tatienne & Joost being fabulous cooks, great conversationalists, and wonderful company, they have built a truly spectacular little piece of magic in the valleys of Malaga. They truly have thought of everything- the yurts are spacious, clean, very big, and you have all of the modern amenities- electricity, a super soft and comfy bed, a mini fridge in the yurt, big fluffy bathrobes to wear while walking to the bathroom and shower house (which have flushing toilets and nice hot water!). If you come in the summertime you've got access to the amazing swimming pool and big terraza to watch the sunset between the mountains, and the mini zen pool where you can relax. The yurt has a hammock outside with a chair and tables so that you can sit outside in the shade of the olive trees, or lay in the cozy bed and for a siesta and see the sky through the skylight in the top of the yurt. The whole property is gorgeous, and at night you can drink wine under the stars and see every bit of the Milky Way! (This trip we managed to see Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and so many constellations with no light pollution from the new moon). We had an incredibly yummy breakfast each morning with fresh eggs from the chickens and fruits from the huerta. Tatienne and Joost also have quite a few very polite, sweet and silly, furry friends- the cats Zeppo, Zanza, and Mimi- Ron the dog- and of course, the chickens! We loved having them around. (:
This trip was especially exciting for us because after Tatienne and Joost prepared one of their delicious dinners for us, my boyfriend proposed to me after six and a half years together right underneath the stars outside of the yurt! This valley is a very special place for us now and we look forward to many more trips in the future. Thanks so much for having us again, Tatienne and Joost! I had an amazing staying in this unique and special place. Just at first sight you just see that this property is a kind of little paradise on earth. Tatienne & Joost are really nice and they have taken care of every single detail for this place to be really special. The room was very romantic, the pool and the jacuzzi were very nice and peaceful, the decoration very cozy and gorgeous... It was like being on a bubble of good vibes, romantic details and nature. The property is surrounded by olive trees and the sunset there is stunning. And you cannot miss the food there. It was really delicious!! I strongly recommend having dinner there. This is the perfect place for a romantic getaway or if you just want to go solo or with friends to disconnect from the world and have an amazing weekend. Thanks for every Tatienne & Joost!!

Solo puedo decir que es uno de las mejores casas rurales en Andalucía para disfrutar de un fin de semana romántico en Málaga alrededores, cerca del pantano de Iznájar. Es una finca rodeada de olivos desde la que se contemplan unos atardeceres impresionantes. La casa cuenta con piscina y jacuzzi y mil detalles repartidos por la propiedad que hicieron único el fin de semana que pasé allí. Además, los afitriones Tatienne & Joost son personas muy especiales y agradables que han cuidado cada detalle del lugar, milímetro a milímetro. Todo allí es especial. Y la comida es increíble. Aparte del desayuno que está incluido y es deliciosos y muy abuntante, recomiendo cenar al menos una noche allí. La comida es espectacular!! Gracias por todo Tatienne & Joost. Seguro que repetiré!!!! Gracias por un finde mágico!!

I definitely recommend visiting Casa Valle de Oro. My husband and I stayed in beautiful, luxury yurts. It was a great experience and unique experience. At first we were skeptical, but once we arrived, we couldn't have been happier with our decision.

Tatienne & Joost were absolutely wonderful hosts. They gave us directions and recommendations for everything we wanted to see, and their gourmet food, farm-to-table food is absolutely delicious! They were great company for dinner as well :)

If you want to explore an incredible part of Spain and stay in a warm and friendly place (with amazing food), stay at Casa Valle de Oro!

Our three day stay was everything we imagined and more. All the accommodation is great, but we chose the yurt which is very comfortable nestling in the olive grove. Tatienne, Joost and friendly pets are brilliant hosts, masses of local knowledge with recommendations for restaurants, day trips and local sights. Super breakfast and wonderful hosts for dinner with fellow guests. We will certainly visit again. Thank you for making our first visit to Andalucia so enjoyable.

I came here with my wife and rented the Yurth. This is a very spacious and romantic tent with a full kingsize bed, drinks in de fridge and a seperate but private bathroom. You wouldnt find any more luxery in a hotel! The biggest plus is that renting this gives you acces to all of the amazing facilities around the casa. Pool, relaxtub, hamoks, amazing vies over the valley from the roof terras.

However the best is that this is a full service facility. While you pay for your drinks and food it is on low price and high quality. The hosts, Joost and Tatienne, are a very friendly Belgium couple with a high attention to detail. They make most things fresh from products from their own back yard. Breakfast was fresh baked nut-bread, home made marmalades, home made egg salade, selection of local cheese and meat, self made juice and banana bread, of course also home made. While I'm writing this review I didnt have diner yet, but Im sure it will be amazing as well.

If ever in this neighberhood, this is a must visit, and I dont say this often.

What a lovely experience! We stayed with our camper for two nights enjoying the amazing place in the middle of nature. Tatti and Jost are two heartwarming people who helped us with everything we needed and even arranged an appointment at the local garage. We will definitely come back one day. We were very happy with the calm and beautiful location, the nice and fully equipped flat and the lovely people running this place. We do recommend it to everybody and would come back at any time!

We have just returned from a 2 night stay and have had a magical time, amongst
olive trees staying in a beautiful Moroccan yurt with our own shower and toilet a few steps away from the yurt. The bed was so comfortable and the furnishings delightful. What makes your stay is the not just the wonderful views , the refreshing eco friendly pool or even the Zen pool, or the terrace where we sat back and admired the clear Spanish sky to view the stars (we even got to see a shooting star) it is the hospitality of Tatienne and Joost, whom welcome you into Valle De Oro. We were treated with the most delicious organic breakfasts and they indulged us with their time whilst we kicked back with a beer or two after a wonderful dinner, shared together.
Our teenagers had the best time with my eldest loving Rum and Shaela the friendly dog's and a cute kitten they had rescued too. Our son loved swimming in the pool and having the independence to wander freely around the whole area.
They produce their own Olive oil which is amazing and a wonderful purchase. .so if you're lucky enough to come stay here you should definately purchase some.
If you love olives you will not taste any more delicious than the ones these guys serve, yum yum.
Our 1 regret is that we didn't stay for longer I will be reminiscing of reading whilst relaxing in the hammock whilst stuck on the underground back in London!

Very nice and quiet place to stay in the middle of Andalucía. Very nice pool and surrounded by olive trees. Very recommended to get out of the city and crowds.

Casa valle de Oro is een fantastische plek! We hebben hier met onze camper mogen staan en genoten van het heerlijke avond eten en ontbijt. We komen graag nog eens terug!

Onze eerste kennismaking met Andalusië was meteen een topervaring. Na een late aankomst werden we hartelijk ontvangen en naar onze yurt begeleid. Een eigen stekje met alle comfort, de natuur voor de deur, ontwaken bij het gezang van de nachtegaal... ´s Morgens, na een Nespresso in de yurt, een heerlijk ontbijt vol verrassingen, elke dag wat anders. In de omgeving valt ook heel wat te beleven. Tatienne en Joost deelden met plezier tips over de bezienswaardigheden, parkeerplaatsen en niet te vergeten: adresjes om heerlijk te eten. We hadden ook het geluk 3 etentjes op locatie mee te maken waar een heerlijke maaltijd werd opgediend in een gezellige sfeer. Bedankt Joost en Tatienne voor dit heerlijke verblijf!

Wat een heerlijke B&B om tot rust te komen. Een stilte in de omgeving, Tatienne en Joost die je verwennen en van informatie voorzien. Het ontbijt met alles vers. Zelfgebakken brood, eigengemaakte jam, yoghurt, sapjes, eieren van de eigen kippen en ga maar door. In de middag hebben ze diverse gerechten die ze op aanvraag voor je maken. En 3 dagen per week bereiden ze een avondmaaltijd. Ze hebben nog een paar huisdieren rondlopen waar je totaal geen last van hebt. De kamer is erg ruim en de badkamer nog ruimer! De bedden liggen heerlijk. Het zwembad is perfect, met leuke fijne hoekjes waar je kan luieren. Ze hebben ook nog een chill dakterras waar je in de avond naar de sterren kan kijken. Kortom, zoek je iets om tot rust te komen, snel boeken.
Je hebt wel een auto nodig om iets te ondernemen. Het dichtstbijzijnde dorp is een 10 min rijden en daar zijn een paar restaurantjes. Maar daarover vertellen Tatienne en Joost je alles.

Casa Valle de Oro is een topadres voor wie houdt van lekker eten, wandelingen en culturele uitstappen. We verbleven er 10 dagen en elke dag werden we verrast met een heerlijk ontbijt en een verrasingshapje, altijd wat anders en superlekker. Tatienne en Joost gaven ons tips voor de uitstappen in de regio: waar parkeer je, wat valt er te beleven en waar kan je lekker eten. En telkens was het een schot in de roos! Drie keer mochten we samen met andere gasten meeschuiven aan een heerlijk driegangenmenu. Alleen daarvoor zou je terugkomen... Kortom, Casa Valle de Oro is een absolute aanrader als uitvalbasis voor een fantastische vakantie in Andalusië. Dank je wel Tatienne en Joost!
